I've done lots of successful DIY refinishes, only pictures on here are this, which I've now realised I need to update with some completed pictures, albeit very late.

I'm sorry id not seen that thread before. Your work is top notch, and your choice of pale cream is sublime. Very nicely done indeed.
    Cheers

Not sure about that, maybe somebody else can help, all I know is that it's as loud as my GB Streamliner 900 through a BF Retro six10.

If I may, it'll be 300 watts with an extension cab (4 ohm load total). Prob about 200watts into the combo alone (8 ohm). Make no mistake, these are extremely loud amps for their ratings.

I'm thinking of getting Alex at Barefaced to knock me up one of these:

Not suitable for lead guitar though.

[sub]Ah, Gladys. Of course. Astonishing. She showed me some slapping once and I couldn't sit down for a week.[/sub]

Yep, she was one hell of a slapper, that's for sure.

I have had it about 2 months, I don't know how long the guy I bought from had it for. It is in a flight case and in very good nick though so assume it has been well looked after. Any recommendations on a replacement valve?

Mine had a 12ax7 (ECC83) valve in it. They are widely available online, watford valves is one option, or hotrox. There's a few guys on here that dabble in them too and would be able to give some good advice. I think Mr Foxen is one of them.

  6. It should light up all the time the amp is switched on. Sounds like it may need replacing. They usually last a long time though, how old is the amp? Has it had a hard life, or been looked after?

Unfortunately not, the BVT now enjoys a new life as an item of furniture in the dining room of Lozz196. :D

There's nothing wrong with the BVT, but the SVT is just more 'Ampeggy', unsurprisingly.

Fair do's. I guess it would make a great coffee table if nothing else.
