1. i highly recommend fernandes. it suits every kind of styles. it has one the best necks i have ever tried, very light with small body and i am sure that it's better than before with 3 band eq.
Pete is a really good and trustworthy guy to deal with.

good luck with the sale Pete.

  3.
I bought one of these in the early 90's second hand, never knew the model name though!! These are excellent basses and mine has served me well, having done countless gigs over the years. Although I mainly use Spectors now, I would say these basses are easily in the same class as a Spector Euro in terms of playability and tone. Only reason I'm not using mine at the moment is the pots need replacing and Fernandes spares aren't that easy to source, especially when you don't know the model name!!
I found the name by chance while i'am searching on the google. i found some interwievs as well and i've never seen a bad comment about them. They are good as much as fenders, musicmans, spectors, warwicks etc. How is yours? Could you please send me some photos of it? I'am wondering about to see photos of it ;)

Fernandes basses are very much underestimated!....tried a lawsuit Fernandes/Alembic series 2 copy from the Manchester Bass Centre (when it was open) this was a great bass,i can understand why Alembic filed the papers, it even had the seperate power supply.......they even copied the case!
    BUMP!
thanks for good comments

  6.
Out of all the basses that have been for sale on here lately that APB has been the one i've wanted the most.Looks reet bonnie it does.
BTW Guven, the link to the APB in your current for sale thread is broken, well it is at my end at least. ;)
Thanks for your good comments Pete. I am still loking for a good home for her as I don't use it and she doesn't deserve it. I know you are far to come and try it but you are more than welcome if you will be able to do it. I fixed the link, thanks. i can wait more for bump for you, i am not in hurry :P

  7. My second bass was a cheap Ibanez SR but i haven't had a bass which has a more comfortable neck. Also I really like Warwick $$'s, they have thick neck but if you get used to it they are comfortable and fast (especially ovangkol necks). so you can go for Soundgear (i prefer old japanese models) or Warwick. Also you can think about my Fernandes APB, she has a nice and fast neck too but not thin as much as Ibanez's.

  8. I had a 79, rosewood fingerboard and block inlays Jazz Bass. She was awesome and i am so regretful to let her go. Also i had played 75 for a week, it was awesome too and and 75 has a thinner neck then 79, but i didn't get the same feelings as i don't feel comfortable with maple fingerboard as much as rosewood but it's my problem ;) anyway 70's Jazz Basses are great but i don't have any idea about 60's.

  9. Hello all,

As I have decided to keep my spector this lovely jazz bass has to go.

3 color sunburst, alder body, rosewood fingerboard.

the bass is in good condition, only has a small ding on the neck which is I tried to show on the pictures below.

    I don't prefer post it as I don't have a hardcase.

£450 or let me know what you have for trade.

also i have a rare and beautiful fernandes APB on sale on BC, link for it; http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...mp;hl=fernandes

    Regards
