I started with Hot Rats, Chunga's Revenge, Weasels Ripped My Flesh (superb sleeve art) & Live at the Filmore East, but I'm probably older than most 😉
-
Gorgeous! Any particular reason you're moving it on so quickly?
A few details on weight, neck width at the nut, string spacing & how the various knobs work would be great thx.
Are you in the UK?
Cheers -
Why can't said retailers be named? Helps other potential buyers (forewarned etc.) & retailer can state their case (make excuses) if they feel the need. Just saying.

That story does ring a bell, he could make a £50 bass sound a million dollars.
What preamp is in the Fender Marcus Miller?
[/quote]
I think the Fender MM signature bass has a Fender pre-amp in it. Wouldn't surprise me if Marcus had some input - he certainly seems to have had plenty into the new Sire V7 range with his name on. -
I may be wrong (often am) but I seem to recall reading that Marcus' pre-amp was a Bartolini that just happened to be fitted by Roger Sadowsky back in the day. So many requests for similar caused Sadowsky to make his own. Marcus sounds like Marcus even when he's playing Jaco tracks.
-
Played this earlier today & it's a lovely bass in great condition. Just not quite what I'm looking for at the moment. (So many basses so little time).
Jamie's a cracking bloke. Suspect he may end up keeping itbut that's his shout of course.
Cheers! -

Thanks fellas. Some great ideas. I take delivery of my Bongo 4 HH on Wednesday that I have been waiting 6 months for. Maybe I will think about that as well.
Cheers

The Charlton gig was 1976,40 years ago next week, I was there (and the one they did in 74) and remember the torrential rain all day. Everyone sang along to The Alex Harvey band playing Delilah. Roger Daltrey slipped over on all the rain on the stage as the band made their entrance,

So that's what my ticket looked like - I remember it wasn't big enough! :0) -

Got a feeling it was about 1977.
Remember travelling up from Brighton to London with a mate. Slept all the way due to my hangover. Desperately needed the bog when we got into the ground. Everywhere was flooded due to heavy rain. Facilities at The Valley back then were pretty third world to put it kindly. Found out too late that there was no loo roll. Only piece of paper in my jeans was my ticket! Despite all that it was a fantastic day -

Tone for days & still sadly missed!
Great memories of seeing them top the bill at Charlton's Valley ground in the late 70's - what a day - Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Little Feat, The Outlaws & others I was too drunk from the previous night to remember :0) -
This amp caught my eye too &, as you say, doesn't seem to be available anywhere in the UK. Did Epifani put you in touch with a dealer in the US? Do you mind me asking how much it will set you back (just for one not four of course
?
-
Wow!! Any idea how much?
-
I guess most folks know Pete is the drummer with level 42? If not you do now
-
Do you know what the expected turnaround time is from order to delivery?
Cheers -
Gorgeous! Any sound clips available of this bass please?
-
Enjoying this thread - very interesting!
So, if you don't mind me asking, what options did you go for with your confirmed order - colours, knobs, case etc? Final price including shipping? What's the lead time from order to delivery?
I've also just seen the M Bass 500 Mini Head on their site, which also looks very nice. Not sure if it's shipping yet, but looks like they're taking orders.
GAS!!!
P.S. Loving the DI clip posted above - good singer too!

Knew Horace when he was a student in Coventry before his Specials career. Always had a bass in hand, usually unplugged. Really nice guy!
