So, bagpipes are cool this month? Asking for a friend.

  2. It was a bit of a close one this month for getting this in again. Made it though :) Anyone find that a song starts off one way then turns into something completely different? Happened to me on this one.

It's a bit bassy. That Monark synth can kick it out in the low end. Don't turn your speakers up if they have anything below 40hz! Let me know if it's shaking the walls and I'll try and tame it a bit.

  3. I'd be happy with a curve like that in my room :) The caveat is that I've got a massive dip in the lows. I've not measured it but it must be -15db or more. As a result I can't mix anything with bass on my monitors and have to rely on headphones. I'm sure Sonarworks would sort your dips and peaks out. If I can catch the upgrade from headphone edition (that I have) to the studio with mic in a sale I'll share my measurements on here.

  4. Finished it now :)

So, this is the closest I'll get to a love song. "Strings" refers to those strings that pluck at yer heart and all that. There's a heartbeat pulsing in the background near the end (and a fast-paced beating near the start too) and there's general confusion throughout so yeah, love song :)

  5. I had precious little time this month so this was my demo that I hastily extended with some randomness and bashed out. I tried to see the blackout from the cat's perspective during a bit of an air raid. I was hoping to do something that started in 9/8, then changed to 8/8, 7/8 and so on, counting down the lives of the cat in the time signature. It probably would have sounded awful so kinda glad I didn't have time. Also glad that Douglas managed to get the 9/8 idea in :)

Strings are the new Spitfire Labs free strings with oodles of Izotope Vinyl on them. Lots of weird Sound Dust stuff on there too.
