1. Claim on your insurance and then sell it to me......!

Seriously tho' if you fancy having a go at straightening out, lay it on the floor open with the open side down (both outersides up) place a peice of wood under the bent part ( to raise it off the floor) and then apply body pressure (staright arms leaning down on it either side of the bend) to straighten the metal support.....

    Should work...

  2. Hummmmn, weel you can either i) put up with it, or ii) experimnet with other strings until you get one nearer what you want.

I've found out FWIW, that one bass will make the sound you want with 1 or maybe 2 different sets of strings tops. If that sound that you have is EXACTLY what you want then then you may have to put up with it.

I think I'm going to go with Vol/Vol/Tone for now, seems a shame to waste the output of my pickups with a blend knob. I guess if I really miss the master volume, I can always just rewire it!!
:) Way to go....!

  4. As a complete newbie 2 1/2 yrs ago, I have beten myself up learning major, minor and blues scales all over the fretboard....

now when my guitarist says lets try this track.... rarely can I not put something together that sounds half decent (unless Jaco or Flea stylee virtuoso stuff).....

You need 2 things to play bass...

    1. rhythm

    2. rhythm

    :)

Believe me after loosing £800 on a bum deal i'm a damn sight more careful now too!

  7.
Is that a good 'un? I have no idea about these things, but I'd heard that 50W was too much for general guitar/bass soldering. Wouldn't surprise me if I was wrong though.
Whoever told you that was missleading you. Sometimes 50w isnt enough... Its HOW you use it not what you use.. there you go
