    Selling a Ball Family Reserve (BFR) Music Man Stingray, ebony fretboard, roasted birds' eye maple neck, black sugar finish. Limited run made in 2011 methinks. Price: 1500 GBP, 2000 EUR Excellent condition, no scratches, dents, etc, complete with the BFR certificate and the original case.     Hello surfguy13, I just cheked on the bass, the width is a classic 43 mm (1.750") and the weight as in the pic with the bridge cover on is 3.90 kgs (8.60 lbs). Hope it helps, thank you!

    Lots of interest recently, waiting for a potential buyer to confirm his intention by today. Edit: the buyer confirmed his intention, so -pending the usual- this stingray is going to France.

    IMHO Streamliner and 15" cones is not the best match, at least in my personal experience. I used one with a 15" Tecamp and the volume was not that much, with a lot of basses that made everything a bit muddy (using a P bass). If you want volume and definition I would look for a 2x12, when I plug the head to my Berg AE212 (I know, not a budget thing unfortunately ) it really sounds great.

    Slowly, I try to isolate blocks thath "make sense" together and concentrate on getting that right, with the right fingering, correct economy of movement, and then repeat, repeat, repeat. It sounds boring but it ultimately works Sometimes I use an incremental metronome to slightly speed up if I am repeating the same chunk over and over again. Personally I prefer to have a transcription and start from there, rather than getting everything by ear, at least I simplify a bit the process (maybe this just comes from having played lots of classical stuff when I was a kid!)
