1.
I could take pics of my own if you'd like. What details do you need to know like?
Just a couple pictures, like a picture of it out of the hole, next to the hole, the hole in the bridge for it, close up of the brass insert. Im just a curious fellow.

2. If you're planning on taking it apart, can you show some pictures of the 2 side posts on the bridge. I have no idea of why they are there.

Or if anyone can answer that for me, id be grateful, as im not sure if those posts are massive screws, or simply decorative.

Well, on a stingray, the pickup is in the "sweet spot" to get the best tone when playing whatever note. Its referred to by the pickup, not the sweet spot of the note.

Surely all this changes as soon as a fretted note is played? The higher up the neck you play the more the effect is.

Am I missing something?

Id assume the sweet spot refers to how good the pickup sounds in its position on all strings in all positions.

I'm considering bunging a lipstick (guitar) pickup in that Ryder P that I got a coupe of weeks back, but wasn't sure how it would sound. Still thinking about it, but any routing could be easily hidden with a new PG if it didn't work out.
I did a similar thing with my Squier P.

I kinda messed the install up, routed the hole too big, couldnt adjust it properly, and it got in the way of slapping. Sounded good with finger mode. I ended up taking it out, selling it, and replaced my battered PG. Now it looks like this

6.
Some interesting stuff coming through here. I still think I'd go for a DiMarzio Model one at the neck, some sort of "P" in the mid-position, and either a MMHB or JJ (with coil tap) at the bridge.
Gives;
P
P/J
Neck +P like the Attitude
P + JJ (sort of Sandberg-ish)
Neck alone like a Tele
Neck + J
Neck +JJ
All Three

I'd probably opt for passive, 3Vol/tone (stacked) and some sort of selector- maybe buttons rather than switches for each pick-up?
There's got to be some good noises in there somewhere!
Thats pretty much mine dude. Fantastic sounds. Independent pickups, or any combination in series of parallel.
