  1. Just got this very quick response from a chap doing a review on YouTube ,

Hello Paul. Thank you for watching and also for your kind words. The issue you will come across is the hip/body support only connects on the right side of the body of the EUB. If you are able to find a work-around for that issue then I would say this is an excellent bass to experiment with in regards to adjusting the nut and bridge to accommodate left-handed playing, as the cost isn't too high if you should make a mistake in your customizations that renders the instrument unplayable afterwards.

  2. Thanks, I've had a look on YouTube, there seems to be a bracket on either side of it, maybe I can just swap the brackets over, I asked the seller for some close up pics of the bass, I included my email address in the message and got a temporary message ban from eBay.. bugger.

  3. Thanks for that Bluejay,
I'd defo need a cheapo job to try first just in case our new project doesn't work.. did you sell your Harley benton?
Maybe I'll just grab the Stagg that's up for sale and give it a try as it's not fortunes.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread but I had the good fortune to see Chas and Dave last ight and Dave's bass playing had me dumbstruck all night. He's seriously good. I mean, I always had a lot of time for his playing but seeing him do it live was quite something. Nicely showy too, lots of harmonics and drop D switching going on.
One of the tightest live acts I've ever seen - absolute demons the pair of 'em. Good drummer too

A nice unexpected bonus was seeing Jackie Lynton supporting.

  5. We used to tour a lot with Sweet, Slade, Mud mainly the xmas tours and a lot in Europe, there was a lot of "we are the super stars" stuff and we don't move the drum kit for nobody..we hardly ever got time to soundcheck either but we used to just get on with it, fantastic musicians tho all of them.

The Stranglers - Down in the Sewer - final movement. What got me into listening to bass many many years ago and still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

I was also a fan of The Cure a very long time ago and Primary is still a big hit for me. Maybe not technically challenging, but 2 basses....
