Hopefully there’ll be no mention of “it don’t matter how neatly I roll my jack leads up but every time I get them out at a gig they look like a plate of spaghetti”

Really? Gigging is the best bit of being a musician surely. That's what made me take up bass in the first place.
I don’t get on with pub gigs which I’ve been doing for 12 yrs , previous to that I was playing proper venues, theatres etc with paying punters which was great but I also hate travelling

First for me was a place called Skunx in London somewhere supporting the Angelic Upstarts, must’ve been 1980, I was 18, played a Columbus P copy .

The various Markbass 1x12 combos can be had for relatively little money and are very capable. Buying used would be even cheaper.
Frank.
Yea I have a 1x12 markbass combo, I also use another 1x12 cab with it, sometimes I wonder if I need the extra cab? Proper pokey little beast

That's nice. I'm a lefty born in 1961. Feels an expensive quest to source a lefty stack-knob jazz!
Same year as me Piers, we’d need a rather large windfall.

Thank you chaps 👍

That is very nice, I’ll learn that when I get a spare 5 minutes

He also has a sansamp bass driver, maybe if he incorporated that it’d help?

Hi all,
a friend of mine uses a big muff pedal which he says sounds great playing solo but when the band kicks in no one can hear him, he says it lacks bottom end and no matter what eq settings he adjusts it doesn’t improve it. He uses a 2x10 markbass combo and a fender P.
thanks in advance

I know Lee fairly well, it sounds like it was his ‘66 Jazz that he bought recently which is his birth year

Doesn't reply to posts on this thread and doesn't reply to personal messages. I think he may have difficulty selling this cab.
Cheers Jacko , I won’t waste my time then

This should be long gone... I paid nearly £600 for mine second hand.. I’m tempted myself.
