  2. Price drop - £135 includes UK postage Hi, I’m selling my Aguilar Octamizer version 2. Well looked after and very little use. £185 price includes UK Postage. Here’s a bit of info from Aguilar: AN ALL-ANALOG OCTAVE PEDAL THAT CREATES A WIDE RANGE OF MUSICAL SOUNDS AN OCTAVE BELOW YOUR BASS SIGNAL. Modeled with old school and new school needs in mind, the Octamizer features independent volume controls for both the Clean and Octave sounds. This makes dialing in the exact amount of each a cinch. The two discrete signal paths also have their own tone controls that were specifically designed to enhance and expand their musical possibilities. The CLEAN TONE control uses a full spectrum tilt EQ, allowing for the boosting of treble while cutting bass or boosting of bass while cutting treble. This unique circuit allows you to create a clean sound that creates an octave doubling effect or to blend the sounds together for a great thick, snarky synth tone. *Pedal powered by universal 9-volt power supply only. Not included. Proprietary detector circuit for superior tracking Continuously variable multipole low-pass filter for Octave sound Dual filter architecture Full spectrum tilt EQ for clean sound Pedal powered by universal 9-volt power supply only. Not included. Cheers! Michael

  9. Problem solved if anyone cares! Bought a new HX Current Doubler - did nothing. After lots of searching through various sites found that other people had had issue with power pedals using a Strymon Zuma and Y power cables like the one for the HX Stomp. I had a look in to the Joyo but it seemed like it wouldn’t be able to handle the current of the HX Stomp. In the end I bought a Cioks DC7. Bought the extra cables for the HX Stomp and everything is perfect no issues at all. It’s a bit of an expensive fix but I just want everything powered from the same place. The Cioks DC7 is great though. Lots of options for different voltage and also the USB will be perfect for charging a GoPro or other stuff on stage! Also fits under the pedal train metro boards so more space on top of the board too! Thanks to Jakester for the help too!
  10. Hi! I use Dunlop Super Bright 40-120 Light Nickel Bass Strings (DBSBN40120) I’m not really sure how much difference string through makes, but I think I prefer it (it might get just be all in my head).
  11. Thanks for the advice, I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s experienced something like this. I’ve just tried swapping around the outputs and unfortunately it hasn’t helped. I’ve ordered a new power cable for the HX Stomp, to see if that helps. If not I’ll have a look at the Joyo. Thanks!
  12. Problem solved - findings below. Hi Everyone, Bit of a weird one that I can’t get my head around. I’m having an issue while using a Jad Freer Capo and HX Stomp together. Both are being powered through a Strymon Zuma. The HX Stomp is using the VL HX current doubler as it’s supposed to. The Capo is being powered properly too. When both pedals are engaged at the same time there’s this whirring electrical noise (ground loop issue?) If I switch the Capo off and leave the HX Stomp on, the noise goes away. If I switch the HX Stomp off and leave the Capo on, the noise goes away too. If I use either pedal on its own but in conjunction with other pedals there are no issues. If I use the original power supply for HX Stomp, plugged in to the same 4 way (and mains plug socket) as the Strymon, and have both the Stomp and Capo switched on, there is no longer an electrical noise and everything is fine. Obviously this solves the problem, but I would much prefer to have everything on one power supply. Each of the power supply ports on the Strymon are isolated, so I thought this shouldn’t be a problem. Clearly I’m wrong. Any thoughts or ideas to potentially fix this or just to explain what is actually happening would be great. Thanks, Michael
