  1. Thanks for the feedback, guys. But I see your methods as a workaround, not a fix.

There's plenty of input gain, I'm not changing that, and I should be able to choose what tone I want from the octave generator and introduce as much or as little of it to the output mix as I want, too.

I'll email Aguilar and see what they suggest.

    Thanks again :)

  2. A question for all you Octamizer owners: I've just bought one and I find that the octave level control is not very linear. Actually it seems almost impossible to get just a little bit of the low octave into my sound, i.e. with the low octave level control at zero there is no low octave (naturally), but turning the knob clockwise doesn't smoothly introduce the low octave to the mix; rather it suddenly jumps in over a very small amount of knob travel.

What is your experience? Is this normal or have I got a freak pedal?

If it is normal, I'll be seeking out a knob mod – a more linear pot – as it is an absolute must for me to be able to blend a tasteful amount of low octave in behind my clean/dry signal.

Many thanks in advance, Stuee :)

  3. Bought an Aguilar Octamizer from Mark. Very pleased as it came quickly with no fuss and good communication. If Carlsberg made BC traders... ;)

Many thanks for a smooth transaction and a great pedal!

    Best, Stuee

  4. I just bought an SQ series Squier P bass from Kert. Extremely helpful, excellent comms, bass came very well packaged & exactly when Kert said it would.
Highly recommended BC marketplace user. Many thanks mate :)

I have one of these. It was my first bass. If anyone ever sees one being sold at that kind of price again, grab it fast. It's well worth it. :)

I bought this. Haven't had a chance to do anything with it yet but it desperately needs a set up, strings & a good cleanup. Will let you know what happens (whether there's anything left in the truss rod... hope so, it's a bit of a banana!)

  6. Here we have a little used Biyang CO-10 Baby Boom Compress X stomp compressor pedal.
I just tried it a couple of times and decided I needed a pedal with ratio and attack/release settings.

One foot is missing. Sorry. Also a couple of very light surface marks.

9Volt battery or DC9V adapter (Boss-style, not included)
12mA Current (low drain, ideal for pedal boards)
    German WIMA audio capacitors
    Entirely dust-proof, for long life
    True bypass design
    Bright power status LED
Stainless metal panel and metal enclosure, no cheap plastic and a very well thought-out battery draw*

*The pedal enclosure has a nifty split bottom panel to create a separate battery compartment that screws tight shut, but can be opened by hand. No need to take off the whole back of the pedal to change the batt!
