Think eBay and PayPal are struggling for End of year results? 🤔
-
There's probably a maximum discount too
-

There's probably a bit more to. It but I just got 20% off a pedal.

Did anyone get one of these?
-
Sad times. I'm sure the admins would be keen to hear about that.

This just came to my attention.

Not had a chance to watch the videos yet but the general idea seems intuitive.

I'm still humming and hawing about the one I've been offered. I've part of me thinks it'd be fun the other feels id play it for a week then never pick it up again.

Is it this one?

The advertised price of £19.99 must be a mistake, but if anyone sucessfully orders and gets delivery at that price do tell.
Looks to me like a rebranded Stagg, so its an OK option if you are not paying much, but according to the combined knowledge of owners here and over on talkbass, they generally benefit from some modification and better quality strings - have a look for the stagg megathread in the EUB section on talkbass if you want more info.
Never saw that! Maybe I'm over paying!, 😁

Hi,
I've been offered cheap gear4music EUB - presumably the 3/4 size one. Its brand new, never played and it is cheap!
It's got my curiosity going and I think it could be good fun. I have no aspiration of taking it up seriously.
Are they that bad? Would it be good enough to get me up and running?
Please note I am starting from the position of knowing absolutely nothing about EUB.
Cheers

Muziker had a right handed sb2 for £355 the other day. It was listed as in store only but the website let me go through the process of buying it so I chanced my luck.
Fail 😕
Got an email next day saying they wouldn't send it and cancelled the order. Fair play.

My symptoms are numbness of the thumb, index and middle fingers as well as pins and needles. Mines triggered by bending my hand back the way, which can be an issue on my bike depending on how I position my hands and the angle of my wrist. It can be triggered by closing the hand down on the wrist in other people, it varies from person to person. My right hand I worse then my left.
I'd imagine if it's triggered by closing the wrist it will have a bigger impact when playing bass, more so on the fretting hand.
I keep my plucking wrist pretty straight so I don't tend to get bothered by it.
The worst bit about it for me is the pins and needles can wake me during the night. I have a wrist strap but don't often remember to put it on a bed time. My own fault.

A bit of good news there! Fewer operations the better for me! 😉

I'd be interested in the footswitch if you'll split them?
-
I'll be following this with interest... Have mild carpal tunnel so I guess this is the future for me.
Doesn't effect me when playing bass yet but I have issues when cycling.

I downloaded a Tom Waits gig from them years ago, from the US leg of the glitter and doom tour Wish I could find the mp3 again as it's no longer available on their site.
-
Maybe not the most exotic or legendary of gigs but it got my juices flowing for live music. It's a moment in time I'll never forget.
-
I'd go back to c. 1994 when I went to my first proper gig by a real band that sold records and I didn't go to school with any of the members ?
Rocket from the Crypt at the Music Box, Edinburgh.
Loved it!

I've had serious effects use this year.
Had an 18 month bender just playing the field. Buying and selling a fair few pedals and in very almost there... Just waiting for a Cog Rogue One to arrive... Hopefully early in the year.
... And then I'm GAS free ?

the name does not matter, pick a word , use it. People learn your name, if they like you.
Lots of bands with awesome names never made it, lots of bands with rubbish names made it.
The name is irrelevant
I tried explaining that to my band.... They didn't get it

This thread has got me listening to a few albums I haven't visited for years...
Surrealistic pillow... Forgot how good this was
CHEERS FOR THE THREAD ?

I've dabbled in rap-style genres over the years.
Enjoyed some of the gangsta period in the 90's - NWA, onyx and so on. Had a couple of cypress Hill albums, funkdoobiest, the goats and so on.
The Judgement Night OST really got my interest. Collaborations between guitar based bands and rap artists. I still think it's a great album. Del the funky homosapian with Dinosaur Jr, teenage fan cub and de la soul, run dmc and living colour, Faith No More and boo yaa tribe... Classic!
This rocks!
