The Ikea?Looks like a coffee table to me!

FENDER-everyman's(or woman's)bass.
IBANEZ-metal and nowt else.
WARWICK-funk with a back ache.
RICKENBAKER-punk with an odd shape.
ALEMBIC-noodle noodle slap.
MM-slap slap,a bit overrated.
YAMAHA-trying so hard to be different,but failing.
STATUS-very marmite,either slap or a great fingerstyle tone.
GIBSON-no.Never.
All done in jest with a side serving of truth!

Whilst trawling the net I found two distincly non-standard basses that got the GAS gland thrumming:a Dean Sledgehammer,and a Hagstrom Beluga.
Anyone had any expierience of either?

Perhaps a bit more chamfering on the body?Other than that,superb.

Bull&Gate,Kentish Town.On stage 9:45,off 10:15.Soundcheck 6pm.At venue 5:30pm.Leave guitar players studio 3:30pm.Arrive at studio 2:30pm.
So far,nearly 8 hours.
Get home at 1am.
Paid £5.
For the whole band.
There are 6 of us.
Plus a roady to pay.
I definately do this because I enjoy,'cos it sure as hell does'nt pay well!

My first bass was a red sparkle Sidewinder,just like the one in your thumbnail shot.I miss it........Anyway,just off to take my medication!

I auditioned for the band I am in now about 4 years ago.After a change of drummers we are now a tight band whose members are my mates.The chemistry,musically and socially,has to be there.

2,Gerry MacAvoy/Bruce Foxton/Any solid,in the pocket player.
3,Better player,get paid for it!

Never seen Westone Thunder 11a's before.Really eye catching.

Having only just seen the Youtube link,I can honestly say that whilst I would'nt(and can't)play like that,it's bloody impressive to see someone who can,and enjoys themselves doing it.
