Total Watts

1. I'm a total PJB convert. Used Trace, Peavey, Orange, Marshall in the past but nothing compares, Not tried Genz or Aguilar so can't comment. My rig looks like this. 2 X suitcase each with a 4B. Currently splitting the signal using a stereo chorus pedal but looking for a good aby box so open to suggestions.
2. I have had 2 Wal basses for a long time. My PRO1 fretless gets very little use. My Mk1 Custom has been rested for a few years while I bought and played some 80's classics (Yamaha BB1100s, Aria SB1000, Ibanez MC824). Took the MK1 out last night for the first time in ages and was blown away... AGAIN. These instruments are amazing, can produce virtually any tone and are built like tanks... heavy, but well balanced. Some might say the looks are dated but heh! I bought a pair of Converse All Stars yesterday!!
3.
I'm getting an Ibanez BTB676 for sure now But towards the end of next year(?) (HOPEFULLY as i will be able to work xD) i can get one at a 5 string or a backup (well the 5 would work as a back up!)
Looks like you have made up your mind but, for what it's worth, here is my opinion. I picked up a Grind 6 string on ebay (seller was Peavey UK and I got it for £165... only thing wrong was a chip on the headstock ). Mine is really good but I have heard that the build quality varies a lot. The Cirrus is a step up in quality so the price at GAK looks pretty good compared to the Grind. My Grind now has a Roland synth pickup in it.
4. Loving this thread... here's my list Early days I had a couple of EB copies and a Precision copy Ibanez Blazer Then I got a Washburn Status Series 1000 that I wish I had kept All of the following I still have 1981 Wal Pro 1 fretless (slightly unusual as the pup is in the neck position due to the figuring in the wood) 1988 Wal Mach I in black with chrome hardware 1980 Aria SB1000 Yamaha BB1100s (date to follow) Ibanez MC824 Musician (date to follow) Aria medium scale semi (not sure of model, if I post pics maybe someone can tell me) Jazz Bass built from WD parts with Schecter pups Then I bought a Roland GK2 kit on ebay so I needed a bass to install it in. Found a Peavey 6 string Grind on ebay and got it fitted by my brother who is a luthier. This connects to an Axon AX 50 to control my synths. Amp wise I have used all sorts over the years but I am now hooked on Phil Jones gear. I have a Suitcase and a 4B but am looking to get more.
