1. This is generally what happens if you just replace 'broken' parts without ascertaining what made them break in the first place.

The original fault is still there and your new power trannies will go the same way as the original ones unless you get it sorted out by a competent amp tech.

2. I have the same problem Chris - I'm guessing you're using IE10 as well?

It's a glitch that is awaiting a fix from the company that provides the core software.

In the meantime, the workaround that I use is to flick over to basic editing mode - the little lightswitch icon on the far LH side of the editing bar.

I realise I'm in the minority here, but I can't really wear clothing that proclaims my love of anything, or having a witty remark printed on it or whatever.
I'm in that minority as well.

I'll wear 'branded' clothing if it relates to a workplace thing, but that's about it.

Having said that, I wouldn't wear it, but I do find this funny:

I used to use Superwound Funkmasters 30-90 when I was in my serious slapper days.

I still have a set of those on one of my lesser used basses. :)

I dont know what to think as most Electicals SHOULD have a Protective Coating from Water, (salt water im not that sure about and standing in Water for long time)
The components have, but the circuit boards they sit on don't.
Water, particularly water from a flood, will have impurities in it which can, and generally will, provide a path to a short circuit as soon as they are powered up.

The answer is to remove the electronics completely from the bass and do NOT be tempted to power it up as this will definitely destroy something.

You'll need to remove all traces of water and the contaminants that were in it - I'd probably get a bottle of meths and just drop the whole lot into that.
It'll remove the contaminants and displace any remaining water with a fast evaporating alternative.

Meths can leave a 'film' and, to be honest, I'm not entirely sure what it is.
It does come off with switch cleaner and a 1" paintbrush though.

Once everything's been washed down, dried out and reassembled then you stand a chance of fault finding.

That was an accident and I did change his dressings when the local witch was too drunk to do it... :(

10. I've seen 3/4 size Fender classical guitars selling for about £50 new.
They're not going to be fantastic for that sort of price, but they'll be playable.

I reckon you'd struggle to find a playable steel strung guitar in that price range.

EDIT: Reminder to brain, read all the posts before replying! :D
