1. I just love any drummer (and come to think of it,musician!) who can nail a straight groove that totally complements the song, without endlessly showing off their 'technique'.
Amazing how many players who are technically proficient just don't know how to do this without ruining the whole song/drowning out the vocal etc etc.
In my view, 'simple' is usually the best option, and has the effect of making occasional fills/accents all the more effective.

Masters of this for me are:-

Charlie Watts
Max Weinberg (E Street Band)
Steve Ferrone (AWB etc)

2.
you still got her??
Amazingly , yes!!

Thought £695 was a fair price, then reduced it to current bargain price of £650
(If it does n't prompt any interest, will just keep it and maybe try again in a few months.)

Cheers.

3. Oh dear...........

Saw Simon Philips in a charity show once with Jeff Beck and Clapton.
Eric came on to do 'Further on up the road', a standard 12 bar blues shuffle, and Simon just killed the whole thing with overplaying and
out of context fills-absolutely no groove at all. Am sure he's technically excellent, but this style of playing leaves me stone cold.( Just my opinion of course!) Just hope Pino does n't stay in that niche too, as have seen him with other bands where he's been great.

(Incidentally in my band PSP is short for a pre-show p*ss!)

4. Had a 4x10 combo once - okay,but not v.loud or tonally wonderful either!
They diid a 1x15 combo too, both using Celestion speakers with an 11 band graphic I think.
They seem to fetch around £90 these days, and are not particularly sought after.
Hope this helps, cheers.

5. Southside Johnny&the Asbury Jukes

Best bar band in the world, no 2 gigs&sets ever the same, occasional jams with Springsteen/E-Street band members/ Bon Jovi etc/
amazing brass section, great songs in their massive repertoire (both original&covers),wonderful guitar player Bobby Bandiera, ace frontman!
And I know most of their stuff too! Catch this great band on tour in the UK this November.

Cheers mate - do you think the price is fair? I think so - bass is in great shape.
I really thought this would have been snapped up.

Would maybe consider (very!) near offer.
