Sorry put this in the wanted section i put it in the for sale section by accident..... oops :S
-
Bought a lowdown while these came free with the rebate. Unfortunately never got the bit of paper needed for the actual rebate... annoying. So looking for a cheap one of these. Or swap for my yamaha 10/2 mixing desk(still with box)? (small but may be suitable for some home recording)

Most ibanez's ive tried are quite light. Or pretty much anything made of basswood. Oh and the RBX series yamaha's
Oh and good luck with the back, im sure youll find a solution -
Some of both? Could be cool if you group them in colours
-
Its just the neck that im worried about tbh, the rest can be sorted SOOOOO easily yourself. Hunt down the owners of these things!!!
-
Anyone ever heard of these guys? I saw their basses on the bay and its definately cheap enough. The bodies are either Elm or basswood (anyone ever heard of a company using elm? Whats it like?).
Just wondered if anyone had used these? Even if they sound Cr@P it could be worth it if the necks half decent. Custom project anyone?!!!
I just thought they looked nice wondered what you guys thought

Ditto on the for sale section its painful!!!
However enjoy, the people here are friendly enuf -
Perhaps it has a loose/dodgy input. You knocked it back in place is a poss?
-
If you do get a new one and decide to spend instead of buying more " cheapy" ones. I HIGHLY reccomend the Korg DT-10. It actually responds as soon as you hit the strings. Unlike my old "qwik-tune"
-
Actually yeah hes decent. And we actually get on. Nonsense you say???..... I kid you not
-
Ah ok fair point
-
Well apparently we have a gig in october, thats IF we manage to get a singer by then. I was really comfortable with the band and it definately helped when they kept asking if I was sure I had only been playing a year and a half

Rubs sadowsky off again
-
Just an idea... if it doesn't sell (which it most probably will) why not get it defretted
-
Sorry for being unspecific but im not entirely sure. The actual neck is way to thin for my hands. What do you mean by shimmed?
-
Thanks for the advice! Got the spot!
-
I have a peavey millenium bxp that ive being trying to sell and cant really move. The whole reason for me trying to sell it was because I had issues with the neck being so thin. How would I go about refitting it with a fender or warwick sized neck? It isnt as easy as a straight swap is it?
-
Writes sadowsky on the headstock of the peavey

Ok i think i might decide on DGCF tuning, what adjustments should be made? Im still using the same string gauge... 110-50. Im still totally clueless on the truss and not sure what should be done???
-
Its just drop D, im considering dropping the rest so i still have the same Patterns as i used to.
For clarification it means im currently tuned DADG. Considering moving to DGCF. Are there any potential problems with this? Truss related etc? (Im still scared of touching my truss!) -
I want one.... pulls fluff out of pocket....
Ill swap one for my peavey (dont hurt me) -
Ram usually helps computers but if your already running 4.5gb you should be well in the clear. The best headphones ive come across for mixing (live and at home) are DT150's by beyer. Ill let someone else explain RAM
-
You guys got any tips to adjusting to drop d tuning? Im joining a band and they play in drop D and im not really used to working out runs and the such tuned like this.

Highly recommend seymour 1/4pounders for the P, they sound SOOOO good on mine. Oh wait come to think of it don't its my secret (steve harris and mark hoppus dont count either... i was there first............................honest )
Neck thickness... Brands

I like playing on fender and warwick 4 string necks... what other brands are of a similar size? (As you know its not always so easy to find these basses to try in this country). Spectors, Ibanez, Yamaha, ESP and Dean are of SPECIFIC interest... but I would like to know of others too.
