Expect the Wilfred Brambell Appreciation Society to issue a fatwa. Keep your doors locked and get someone else to open your mail.
Just saying.

Ah! Thats his name!
Edit-
The 'Dirty Old Man' catchphrase from Steptoe appears to have been reworked for AHDN where everyone keeps on about the old man being 'Very Clean!' -
I know one of them was in Crosby Stills and Nash. Thats all my Hollies knowledge.
Oh, And they were named after a 50's bloke who played a Fender Strat and wore glasses. -
I was born in 1964 so cant comment. But the very day I was born, The Beatles were in Abbey Road recording Babys in Black.

So is this literally just a gig?

From the original post.....
I was on Instagram this morning and spotted Fender promoting a Fender UK tour, designed to discuss and demonstrate models from the American Standard range. Whilst this is a great chance to try out some gear and talk to the guys at Fender, they also have the All-Star band with them. -

It's considered a work of art by many historians and movie critics. If you think it was awful it just means you didn't get it.
Blue.

No it was the old bloke from Steptoe and son that ruined it for me. -
I dont mind playing AYGGMW, although I usually bluff my way through the chromatic passing note section under the guitar solo.
We actually segue it into Thin Lizzys Rosalie. -
I thought the Hard days night film was boringly awful. Nice tunes though.
-
I just noodle a few pentatonic scales from low E making my way up to the top B on the G string.
-
I learned guitar about 8 years after starting on bass. It made so much more sense to me when I played major and minor chords in a song context and could hear how the melody was created. I had a Beatles songbook and played A day in the life and went wow!
-
I have the official Markbass cover for the CMD 121 and a Hotcover for the NY 121. I couldnt find an official Markbass cover for the ext cab, and the Roqsolid site wanted the measurements for it and I was too lazy to do it.
-
I think there's a Basschatter who runs an online string business. but I cant remember who!
-
Its things like this that made me appreciate our old guitar improver friend with his 'improved' versions of old bullhooks !
-
My missus was a soul girl when we met in the 80,s. The SOS band, Change etc. Until I played her some Fleetwood Mac, Eagles Beatles etc.
Brainwashing does work you know! -
I always take my battered old bitsa P Bass and an old Warwick Sweet combo to these shitholes.
I can afford to have beer thrown at these rather than my expensive gear. -
Apparently Bassist Earl Falconer had not been playing long before they recorded their debut album Signing Off.
Lovely basslines on that one. -
We do a mashup of Smoke On The water and Good Times/Rappers Delight. It goes down a storm.
-
We do The Selecters ska version of the James Bond Theme. That gets the whole place rocking!

Its a pity Nicky Sixx's basses cant take a lesson from him and come back from the dead.

You,ll have more marks than that to worry about after a few weeks of playing!

I have this exact setup and it's fantastic. I'm sure you won't be disappointed! I can also recommend a couple of Roqsolid covers to keep them looking good. Let us know what you think of the tweeter in the combo.
I dont use the tweeter in the NY 121, I dont like the sound so I turn it down
Also, have a look at Hotcovers. I had a good cover made by them. -

Am I seeing a different guy to everyone else?
I cannot stand the man... I'm indifferent to his music but as a person he comes across as a prize bell end.

I get that impression about his brother. I dont mind Noel, he has at least some talent. -
Done a charity gig the other week outside in the glorious weather.
(Warning shorts and knobbly knees alert!) -
Bit difficult to see. He has only put up one picture, and not a very good one either. It could be anything!
