1. This was my main gigging bass for 5 years and it's just awesome! If I had the money I would definitely buy it back. BTW unless the tuners have been changed they are original Fender USA ones that came off a 1971 P Bass! Good luck with the sale Chris and if it doesn't sell by the New Year give me a PM.
2. I would be interested in this if you lived nearer and the price was keener? Damn!
3. Please leave all feedback for Daveyboyrooster here!
4. Sold Mike my '57 reissue Fender Precision. Great comms and promptly paid. Would happily recommend to other Basschat members.
5. It was on eBay and sold but buyer was an *rse and didn't pay up! Really turned me off Fleabay. Never can rely on the buyer to be genuine on there!

8. didn't think this bass would be around long enough to need a bump!
9. Price or Trade Value : £400 delivered Here we have a lovely Made in Japan Fender 57 Reissue Precision made in around 1993 / 1994 finished in 2 tone sunburst. I'l be 100% honest, I bought this bass 2 months ago from Ashwood1985 - as an experiment to see if I could get on with the thicker deeper neck and if I could also live with a "meat and potatoes" P bass. Sadly I can't get along wth the thicker neck ( I'm a jazz bass man really) This is a mighty good bass though.... really authentic vintage woody P bass tones - not sure what the stock pickups are on here but they are pounding! There are the usual minor dinks in the paintwork as you can see in the pics but nothing major at all and pretty good nick I'd say for a 1993 model. The head's finish has lifted slightly as you can see. I have kept a very close eye on this and it's static (not getting worse) - Martin's opinion at The Bass Gallery assured the previous owner it wouldn't do so. Secondly, the lacquer on the body has some hairline cracking. Not the wood of the wood joins. This is where the bass's wood must have expanded due to a sudden temperature change at some point and resettled. Again, the guys at bass gallery have assured us its fine. It's the kind of thing I never notice when playing it, holding it or looking at it but I want to give all the details to you. Someone will pick up a real bargain. I paid £500 for this bass 2 months ago but I now need cash quickly so will let this beauty go for £400 delivered safely packaged sitting in a gig bag!

11. Amazing amps these, had mine for more than 10 years now and it is still the best sounding compromise against an SVT Classic. IMHO.
12. I agree they are very, very robust, But I like to get mine service regularly and PAT tested for insurance purposes. BTW new valves on the pre-amp make all the difference. What cab do you put yours through?
13. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300963874220?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649 sadly now listed on the dreaded Fleabay
14. Hey all, I own an Ampeg SVT 3 Pro which I've had for about 10 years. It's my favourite and I would be lost without it. Its versatility and ease operation in my opinion is the best. A few years ago it caught fire at a gig and I took it to my local music electronic repair shop (MJ Electronic who are no mugs BTW) who reported back that the circuitry was complex and they couldn't help me. I called our local music dealer who put me on to a company called Panic Music in Cambridge. Now then that brings me to my point. It has been serviced/repaired when needed by Panic Music Services in Cambridge on a regular basis since this time (all reliable since BTW) and as far as I know the only Ampeg Approved Service company in the UK! Does anyone know of another approved service engineer/provider. Shipping to Cambridge costs me £70-£80 each time due to the shear weight of the amp?
15. For sale is my Fender Precision American Vintage Reissue bass not had this bass long but I'm struggling with the thinness of the neck It just doesn't sit nice in my hand if you know what I mean. It's got some very small imperfections but nothing that reflects neglect. All the case candy is present and of course the Fender hard case is included. It was new in 2009 for those wishing to know. The rosewood on this bass is the best looking I have ever seen don't take my word for it come and see!. Obviously these basses ooze class and sound absolutely gorgeous I'm looking for a Fender Precision Japanese 57 reissue so may be willing to part-ex. with cash my way I'm based in the west Midlands but travel about the UK a fair bit too
