1.
Anyone out there going to see Guy Pratt perform his 'stand-up' show "Wake Up Call" at the Leicester Square Theatre, London, tonight?

If so, anyone fancy a beer beforehand as it doesn't start until 9pm...
I went last night. Very funny. The bass he was using looked like it has had a hard life! Great evening.

  2. BOSS GEB-7 Bass EQ pedal.
Its about 6 months old and in "as new" condition in its original box. New, these cost around £80. It will cost around £7 to post - so £55 posted seems reasonable.

I haven't put any photos on - as I am sure you know what they look like! Feel free to ask any questions.

    Thanks - Jim

  3. Many thanks for all your responses.

I like the look and spec of the Voodoo Labs Switcher and Commander - which also creates true by-pass when not engaged - plus the ability to programme effects combinations. They retail at £195 each - so not cheap but would be the solution I am looking for. Not sure how the Wobo kit compares with Voodoo on price and performance.

    Thanks again

    Jim

  4. Hi all,

This may be a daft question, but is there any way I could control my stompbox effects remotely??

OK - here is the reason why. I have 7 individual stompboxes (mainly EBS) which sit on a pedal board. During most gigs, we get punters to come on stage and sing. Quite a few times, these people have spilt drinks, and accidently stood on my pedalboard :) . Also, the odd pub punchup with ensuing spilt beer etc. is not great for my pedals!

So, I want my pedals out of the way - but obviously need to control them. Could they could be patched into a controller with a separate footpedal I could have on stage. I am thinking this separate footpedalboard would be cheaper to replace than £1000 worth of stompboxes.

Any help appreciated. Hope the question is not too stupid! :)

    Thanks - Jim

  5. I bought this effects unit new about 6 months ago. It is a really neat bit of kit with every effect imaginable. The looper function is particularly impressive. I am sure you know the spec and performance of this - but the Boss link is http://www.bossus.com/gear/productdetails.php?ProductId=942.

    Pictures attached (hopefully!)

It comes with the Boss power supply, the instruction manual plus a hard flight case with detachable lid. I also still have the original box if you want that.

It cost me £320. I would like £200 plus postage.

I would also be interested in trading this for a lightweight bass head - think Markbass, EA, GB, TC Electronics or similar. Needs to be at least 350w. So happy to trade for one of these plus cash if appropriate.

Please ask me any questions - thanks

    Jim

  6. I bought this by mistake so it has never been used. (Meant to buy the effects loop switcher!) As new, in the box with user guide (and the Radial Power Player sticker!)

This is a 100% passive switch (no power required) which allows you to switch between amps with A & B toggle.

Detail on the website as follows:

    http://www.tonebone.com/re-bigshot-aby.htm

I am looking for £55 plus postage. I do travel about with my job so could arrange to meet if necessary.

    Any questions, please ask.

    Thanks - Jim

  7. I am selling my MXR Micro Amp boost pedal. This is ideal when you need that extra volume boost (or reduction). Rarely used and still in the box with instructions. This cost me £90 but I see they are now retailing for around £65 :) . Therefore it is yours for £45 plus postage. I travel about quite a bit so could always arrange to meet. Any question please ask. Next stop e-bay! Jim

  8. Hello. New member here (Jim). Have been looking at this site for a few weeks and joined because (unlike other similar forums bass and otherwise) all the discussions seem to be helpful and friendly.

I am not new to bass playing though - 25yrs in fact. Play in 2 bands. Current gear is Sei Jazz, MM Stingray 5 played through EBS amps and cabs with EBS blacklabel effects.

Look forward to joining the community.

    Cheers - Jim
