1. Hi.

I am selling [s]my EBS HD350 and[/s] EBS Neo 210. [s]Both[/s] bought new by me from Bernie at GB guitars.

Good condition in top working order.

    [s]After requests - I am prepared to split.[/s] £350 for cab [s]and £300 for the head. Or together = £600.[/s]

Would also look to trade with 5 string Precision.

The EBS brand needs no introduction - and I guess if you are considering this you know the quality of the gear.

Any questions, let me know. Will post pictures later this week.

I live in Oxfordshire and would prefer not to post - but can do at cost.

    UK only please!!

    Cheers

    Jim

  2. I use an MB800 with Barefaced S12T - I will never need more power unless I play Wembley - which I won't! If you are sticking with your cab go for the MB500. Overall its the best set-up I have ever used - even though my band mates reckon the amp looks like a cheap aftermarket FreeSat box!!

  3. I have used many octave pedals in the past (including EBS Octabass). The main problem I have found is they lose tracking as soon as a) you speed up and B) when the note you're playing naturally loses sustain. The Digitech Bass Synth Wah is actually quite a decent octaver (better than it is a synth pedal!) - but only octave down.

By far the best I have used (and still do) is the EHX Micro-Pog. Its tracking is excellent and has a wet/dry mix and octave up and down. I use it to fill my sound out during guitar solos and is the one pedal I would really miss.

However, its all a matter of taste as there is no substitute for trying/hearing them yourself...

  4. Anyone got any info on this pedal?

Looks interesting to me - but no UK sellers seem to know anything about it. It is available in US and China - no info on when it will be in UK.

  5. maggsybass:

I have been using an MB800 with by BF 2x12 for the past 3 months - (10 or so gigs). It is an absolute monster. The best sounding set up I have had in 25years playing bass. You need to play around with eq settings to remove the top end (if thats not what you want!) - but once you get there- you stay there. the footswitch is a good idea and I use that more than I thought.

Apart from the sound - the look on the faces of stagehands when they feel the lightness of the cab and the size of the amp is priceless!!

    Enjoy!

  6. Hi

I am selling my power/pre amp set up.

The power amp is a Crown XLS1500

    http://www.crownaudi...-drivecore.html

The pre-amp is Tech 21 Sansamp RBI

    http://www.tech21nyc...ansamp/rbi.html

All in a nice shallow 3u rack

    http://www.soundsliv...-_3U/SKB-XRACK3

Its all in great working order and is really lightweght for the size/power.

Anyone reading this will know the tone available from the Sansamp (great) and the power available from the Crown (loud). I use it bridged into a Barefaced S12T (great and loud!).

I can take some photos if there is interest.

I do not want to split at this stage.

Let me know if you need any further info. Happy to meet rather than post.

    Cheers - Jim

  7. Skinnyman - many thanks for your reply and your posting.

I have spent more time with this now - and completely agree with you. I have now understood the concept of how it works. It seems pretty versatile and am starting to get the "virtual pedalboard" organised

As with all effects, (particularly multi fx) - you only really know how good a saved patch sounds at gig volume. I had a couple of patches that sounded great through headphones and practice amp. Used them at a rehearsal (at gig volume) - sounded completely different! (and not in a good way). So I think it will take time to fine tune the required sounds - which will need to be done at rehearsal/sound check.

Overall pretty impressed though - although not sure it will replace my stomp-box pedal board.

    Thanks again

    Jim

  8. I took advantage of the deal from GAK and got one of these. I have used it for about 40mins or so - and I find it quite complicated. I have owned Boss multi fx in the past (inc GT6b) and found them far more intuitive than this. I also have an M9 as well which a 3 year old could use. I havent read the manual for the Zoom (obviously!) and will persevere.

I only want to use this for some basic effects (chorus/Octave/reverb/EQ etc) and may gig it so need easy access to the patches. Any fundamental rules/logic from Zoom lovers (apart from RTFM!)??

  9. I have for sale my Hartke LH1000. This is a couple of years old and has always been kept in the rack case and is in great condition.

This is a really clean sounding powerful amp. The only reason I am selling is because I have moved to separate Pre and power amps and so it is surplus to requirements.

£250 or if you don't want the case I am looking for £230. (Still have original box)

This is a heavy beast and so I have not quoted postage. I travel around quite a bit so could arrange to meet if we can find somewhere convenient.

    Any questions let me know?

    Cheers - Jim

  10. Hi

Up for sale is my Rhino 3U hard rack case. It is only 4 weeks old. I bought it and then realised I could get away with a shallow case. I did house some amps in it for a few weeks and gigged it twice.

    These are the details:

It cost me £55. Yours for £40 plus postage (or happy to meet up somewhere convenient)

    Any questions let me know.

    Cheers - Jim
