Lost my mojo when my wife died and bands lead singer commited suicide. I haven't found the desire to start again.
I have not sold any gear yet as I am hoping to get it back

Jo, my condolences go to you and your family.

Thank you for your posts. Sometimes, I feel isolated . Then, you become self-absorbed. I know I was not the only one who has suffered, but it's heartwarming when others share their experiences. Thank you

I haven't picked up mybass for around 10 months. I lost my wife 18 months ago and have had various medical problems since.
I look at my bass every day but the enthusiasm seems to have gone.
My wife was a big encouragement to me and I think is partly whats missing.
Has enyone else felt like this or had a similar experience? Did your enthusiasm return and how did you achieve it

In July, I purchased a Musicman StingRay 5 special, Rasberry burst from a UK retailer for £2999.
I have been doing some recearch on current prices for insurance purposes and the only bass that looks similar is a Sub £500 version
I have put the serial number into the Ernie Ball website but it dosent tell you which value bass it is.
Appart from ringing America, as their customer contact form dosen't appear to be working, is there any way, preferably in the UK, where my bass can be verified as to whether is worth £2999 or alot less
Thanks for reading my post and your input

Sorry I couldn't join you. My son finished work at 03.30 Sunday morning and I'm taxi service.
Didn't want to risk driving the 3 hour each way trip from Norfolk. I'm not as young as I used to be!
-
Can we just pitch up on the day or will it cause problems for you.?

I'd pop over from Norfolk, at this time any saturday is free

I have been looking to purchase a new set of strings and l realise I don't understand if the difference in size affects the tonal quality of the string. Does one give a tighter sound and a bigger string more growl. Is there much to gain by putting .40 as apposed to .45 for the E string or .120 .125 or .130 for the B string and so on for the other strings. Or dose just boil down to how they feel?
-
Tried that and it fell through or reasons above.

Hi, is anyone situated North of the Thames invited. Even as far as Norfolk as we don't seem to have a bass bash up here

Phenomenal drummer. Another musician meets their chosen maker to early

Too heavy for me I'm afraid. Hope you manage to move it on
-
Hi, would you please tell me the weight as I have a knackered back

Our village is planning a village picnic and ask if my band can provide some entertainment.
Would this require a licence? Its a one off event ( most likely outside)
Who would be responsible for obtaining the license and how long does it last?

Unfortunately I don't have the cash at the moment otherwise I would snap this up. Maybe in s few months when probate is sorted. If its still available. Who knows🤔

Went thru same last year when my old Sennheiser HD280's started to fall apart with age.
Read lots of reviews and finally decided on Beyer Dynamic DT770 PRO. I found them to have a clearer or sharper bottom end without losing the depth of bass. It means i can hear the bass far more clearly than the old Senns which had a little bit more boom (i use that word very lightly as the Senns have been great headphones for many many years but it best describes what i'm talking about.) Overall sound quality is far superior to my old Senns.
The DT770 PRO's are far lighter and more comfortable on my head. Headband is tighter but not uncomfortable. I use them mostly with my laptop but occasionally with Hifi separates.
One other thing i found was a great bonus was the covering on the earpieces is far nicer on the ear if wearing for long periods. The Senns had "leather" type material whereas the BD's have a softer fabric material
With a bit of searching you can get them at a decent price too (currently £109 on Idealo to £135 on Amazon)
I went for the 80 ohm version. I bought them from Amazon as they have a better return if i don't like them or something not quite right with them. To be fair i can't fault them

+1. Comfortable good sounding earphones and 3m of cable which is very handy whilst playing standing up

I'm a little confused. Is it the venue who has to have the licence or the band/performer that needs a licence to perform/record other people's songs?
-
I have decided to withdraw this sale as haven't had much interest. Feel free to contact me via PM in the future when things pick up
