  1. You did the right thing in contacting the "well known and well respected music shop" however had you bought the guitar you would have been within your rights to return it as "not as described" and been entitled to a full refund.

In effect all you did was save yourself a few days..

    Enjoy the new guitar...

  2. Lots of entry model basses for that money.

I'd look for a Revelation/ Sire Marcus Miller/ Korean thru neck Spector personally....or see how much Jabba would charge for one of his dinky short scale creations..

Of course I hear there is a very nice Yamaha available within your budget from a well respected, long standing BC member.😏😏

  3. Have you tried a Ashbory Bass...I think that these were the first micro basses with the rubber strings.

    Image result for Ashbory

The white strings get sticky and owners compensated by covering them with talk. I'm told The black replacement strings are better.

  4. Love Tracey...we were in the same year at school, she went to the local girls school about half a mile from the Secondary school I went to. I think I have all the albums (including her solo albums and the Marine Girls on vinyl)

Great voice...deserves more recognition than she actually gets.

This is not true. I thought the same, until I recently watched a video where a fender bass was played with its own neck, then a squire neck, everything was the same, but the sound difference was very obvious and different. The fender neck sounded far, far better.

We did a blind bass test a few years ago at the Herts Bash and in general Maple boards were brighter that RW . The test is buried away somewhere in the events thread...
