I put 3 teeny cable ties around them to keep them quiet - only as I tend to be surrounded by such things - I'd imagine a bit of sponge or even a couple of elastic bands would do the trick. Assuming the picture's still there I remember someone on here coming up with a rather novel hair-clip based solution.

Sounds like you may need to mute the strings between the bridge and the tailpiece. They make a right racket through the piezo.

I find it's only a a problem if they break below the 5th fret.

His advertising's not very good - I think he must be missing an angle.

NABD

I don't even have a picture of it. It was the same colour as yours, I seem to remember a darker finish being an option. (flame?) I think I sold it to someone in the west country, as if that matters. I do remember it sounding great with bronze strings and a pick.

I had one of those a few years ago, the only acoustic bass I regret selling.

It all makes perfect sense now I know we're talking about Ted Sand-Dune.

Brian Williams Amp Repairs in Mold knows his way round 'em!
He's easy enough to find on FarceBerk. -
Mine lasted a day. Don't think I'll be bothering this time!

Insert appropriate euphemism joke here. -

Warning - you may lose several days. -
I take it you've tried tweaking the heights?

Just play the bassline for Billie Jean, gives the song an interesting feel.

No.
But I have taken my cock out on occasion, during a big showy bass solo.

Contender for new band name right there! -
The biggest difference in the video can probably put down to his guitar, would it not make sense that a guitar maker would build an instrument to sound it's best at 440? (even if they don't build it with any thought of the A pitch)
I'd like to hear the same sort of thing on different instruments, for some reason I get the feeling that windy ones would show different qualities up.
Probably wrong, though. -

Have a middle-aged-man-needs-an-eye-test bump.
I read 'Splatted Maple'! -
I know where this would be if my Ibanez hadn't taken root!

Those cases look fantastic!
I do wonder if they'd cause any problems round here, though, as folk'd mostly be daft enough to think you'd robbed the local Uranium enrichment facility!
(there really is one) -
I only have one bass.
It's the storage for the six back-ups that's problematic. -
I've had (and have) the good fortune to work with many incredible musicians, some classically trained - the type of people so talented that, as someone who has yet managed to commit the names of the notes to memory, can reduce me to tears.
And to a man jack of 'em they will not learn ANYTHING!
I wonder sometimes why they even bothered to get so good.

They can just about be seen in this picture, I won't be getting any more as I sold it last week!
