For sale, this lovely Fender Player Jazz Bass in Black, with Maple fretboard. This is a great bass, which sounds amazing and plays really well. It's been gigged and used in rehearsal a few times, so it sports a few superficial marks, mainly on the back of the body and above the pickguard near the upper horn (they are extremely hard to photograph). One of the tuners also has some scuffs but it doesn't impact its functioning. Truss-rod is working fine, as it should. A local luthier did a shielding of the cavity, as it hadn't been done by Fender, making the bass noisy originally. It is much quieter now, at least when not soloing one of the pickups, in that situation you obviously get the classic single-coil hum... But if you know your Jazz Bass, you know that's normal. Specs are classic: Alder body, maple neck and fretboard, vintage-style tuners, single-coil pickups, passive Volume/Volume/Tone electronics. It comes with an aftermarket (shielded) black pickguard, but I will also provide the original white pickguard. It comes with a very flimsy gig-bag, I can ship the bass within the UK if needed (for an extra £35), I'd obviously pack it thoroughly with gig-bag, bubble-wrap and cardboard. For sale, this VT Bass DI preamp by Tech 21. Fantastic pedal that gives you a whole lot of bass tones, mainly with an Ampeg flavour. It is in good condition overall, it’s been used but works perfectly. It doesn’t come with the box, but I’ll provide an alternative box for shipping. I’m asking £190. NEW PRICE: £950 For sale, this fantastic Fender Jazz Bass V “Hybrid”, limited series made in Japan in 2019, in Sherwood Green. They call it “hybrid” for some obscure marketing reasons, apparently a mix of vintage and modern features, but to be fair it’s just a good Jazz Bass V that plays and sounds great. Specs are classic: alder body in a lovely Sherwood Green finish, maple neck with satin finish, rosewood fretboard. Pickups are Fender Jazz single coils, and the bass is passive. Bridge is the HMV model and tuners are Fender light ones. It comes with two pickguards: original mint and black. Some photos are from the shop I bought it from, I can take more if you want. Building quality is great as you would expect from Fender Japan. It’s up there with USA Fenders, with a better quality control… It is very rare on this side of the world, as it was only available on the japanese market. It’s in very good condition, except for a few marks on the back of the body but nothing too bad (photos possible). Overall it’s a great bass and I’m only selling as I can’t justify a 5 string at the moment. It comes with a gigbag. I can ship in the UK for £50, or we can arrange a collection in Edinburgh and its surroundings. I’m selling it for £1150. Any questions let me know. Cheers. For sale, this overdrive pedal by Electro-Harmonix, the “Glove”. It is basically an OCD-clone and sounds great both on guitar and bass. Ah, Reverb…. Got a guy message me and ask a million questions about the bass, back and forth… I even submit an offer to sell it a tiny bit cheaper to him as he seemed keen and maybe needed some extra motivation. He decides to go for another colour Bottom line is: Reverb is full of time wasters… and I can be reasonably flexible price wise too. Just ask.
