  1. It makes the bass super versatile. The preamp gives the bass a bit more punch, and is very musical. The passive mode is a pure passive one, it works even without batteries. You get a faithful, classic passive sound out of it. The J pickup gives your P-bass more versatility. All in all a great bass, but I’m thinning the herd. That being said there’s a guy coming to see it tomorrow, but if it doesn’t happen, we can discuss!
  2. They have indeed! Only selling this one to get myself another Player bass!
  3. Hi, For sale, Fender Jazz Bass Player Series in « Tidepool ». It’s only a few months old and it’s in fantastic condition. The bass has only been played in practice a couple of times and has never been gigged. No dings or dents! It plays great and sounds great too! Fender nailed it with this new mexican-made Player Series. You get a lot of bass for your money! Body: Alder Neck and fretboard: Maple Pickups: single-coils Jazz style Electronics: 2 volumes, 1 tone Pickguard: Parchment (I have a spare black one too). Considering the condition and the young age of the bass, I’m asking £450 for it. I’m based in Edinburgh, Scotland, although collection would be best, I can ship across the UK for an extra £15. Give me a shout if you’re interested! NO TRADE thanks!
  4. PLEASE DISREGARD all messages above about the passive mod. The bass is now back to its original setup - preamp and original pickguard. Just like the previous passive mod, it has been done by a professional guitar tech here in Edinburgh... I wouldn’t be able to do that myself, I’ve no electronics knowledge! I can throw in the second pickguard with the passive knobs and setup, if you’re keen to make the change yourself!
  5. We could arrange something indeed. It’s a mexican standard pickguard, not american FYI.
  6. I can figure it out, not too heavy to me. It’s a standard pickguard yeah, why?
  7. Thanks! It truly is a great bass, the passive mods makes it more « natural » sounding, you get that classic P tone out of it. I wouldn’t sell it if I didn’t have to pay off some bills!
  8. Hi, I’m selling my Fender Deluxe Active P-Bass Special in Olympic white, it’s from 2018 and it’s in great condition. It has an 18V 3-band EQ, as well as an active/passive switch. It gives you the option to play the bass fully passive (which I do, it sounds great), or use the preamp to tweak your sound if needed. It’s fitted with a Precision pickup at the neck position and a Noiseless Jazz pickup at the bridge. Fingerboard is Pao Ferro, and the neck profile is that of a Jazz Bass, super easy to play! It has never been gigged and doesn’t show any marks or dings. It comes with the original gigbag. NO TRADE!!! I’m asking for £550. I can ship within the UK as well for an extra £10. It comes with the original gigbag. Please message me if you’re interested. I’m based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Cheers!
  9. I was looking for an MXR M85 pedal, posted an ad on the forum and within a few days, Fionn (Ed) contacted me about the one he wanted to sell. Payment and details were swiftly organised. I received the pedal the next day! Very efficient, can only recommend!
  10. Thanks! Still available
  11. I wouldn’t sell it if I didn’t need the dough. I do prefer my PJ Fender for what I play, but it’s pure personal preference and it doesn’t take away the fact this Sterling is a great bass. If I could afford it I’d keep both, but it has to go. I think the price is quite fair considering it’s in amazing condition.
  12. Still no trade indeed. Sorry.
  13. Well i tried again on Interparcel and I now have similar prices as yours. Weird. Thank you anyway!
  14. Hey guys, I still don’t get how some of you managed to ship basses to Europe with a flight case for less than £100... I really need some help! Which courier did you guys use?! I’ve been trying some of the links on this thread and they all come with a +£150 quote!
  15. It sounds indeed very good. Here’s a pic of the actual pedal, it’s in perfect condition.
  16. Hi, I’m selling this bass distortion/overdrive/fuzz, handmade in Baltimore, USA, by Damnation Audio. This pedal is only available through Damnation Audio, which consists of only one passionate guy. You cannot find it through any dealers, it’s a proper « boutique » pedal! I ordered it direct from the online shop last year. Please note that it’s currently sold-out and Damnation Audio has stopped the production for now. It’s in perfect condition, never been gigged, used in rehearsals a few times. It’s an amazing distortion pedal that goes from mild overdrive to fuzz, to full-on distortion. It’s got raving reviews on Talkbass, which is what spiked my curiosity initially. Unfortunately, after extensive tests, it’s not exactly what I’m looking for... I’m putting it up for sale, so that I can go back to Darkglass. The pedal can be collected in Edinburgh, alternatively I can ship across the UK. Thanks! Note: the pedal doesn’t come with a power adapter and doesn’t accept batteries. Your usual Boss-style AC adapter will work fine. Also, the picture is a screenshot from Mr Excane’s review on YouTube (check it out for a good review of the pedal), but the pedal looks exactly like this (there are a few custom made versions available but mine is black). I can take a pic on request!
