Tricky. Might depend on the band you're in?

Mmm. I have family there.
:ponders:

CDs. I'm not keen on renting and my broadband is not always reliable.

Not for me. YMMV.

Out of my reach, sadly.
Good luck with your sale!

I've not run across these before.
Looks nice, if you like that sort of thing (I do, but I have too many basses and it's too far away).

Send for bass assasin?
@Bassassin might know, but I don't think they are Japanese?

Is the second bass not one of those Russian jobs from the 70s?

Pretty. If I didn't already have too many instruments I can't play, I'd definitely want to be in the queue

Hi all,
The pictures have disappeared (I'm replying 7 years later).
I recently got a Selmer Jäzz bass, made in Belgium, which doesn't exist on the internet.
It also had its frets removed (stupid). Does mine look like the one you mentionned (if you ever remember it)?https://photos.app.goo.gl/unnkqivdd3D3DT9w6

Thanks
mkps: btw, it sounds great with a huge thump & growl!
Hi. I can't really remember (among other things, I had a stroke later that year), but the body shape rings a bell. Can't help any more than that, sorry.

Looks like a set of prison pyjamas.

Thanks folks. I shall give it a go.

Anyone tried this? Do the strings wear quickly? Any info gratefully received
-
Have you tried a different bass (same model, if possible)? I'm just wondering if it might be an issue with your hearing.

Consider restringing a four-string BEAD (bottom four strings of a five-string set). I have a Harley Benton strung like this, it's an interesting change and needed minimal setup, and the whole thing cost me less than £150.
It might make it easier to understand what you actually want to do.

I bought a box of Useful Stuff from Colin. Nicely packed, quick, all as advertised - I''d be happy to deal with him again. Thanks Colin

This looks as if it's fretless? It would be worth editing the title if it is - I almost skipped it.

Bumping this to keep it on the radar. Please note, due to riding accident last week (resulting in cracked ribs etc), I do not currently have the physical ability to pack etc but I reckon it should be possible within a week (or at least I hope so)
Ouch. I hope you're feeling better!
(In the mean time, have a sneaky bump.)

£100 for a set up?
Does anybody know a luthier with a telescope? Really saw him coming.
Mmm. He doesn't say he paid that much...

I bought EB Cobalt flats from Simon. All well, and happy to deal with him again.
Thanks Simon

Carl sold me his StringFake fiver. All went well; quick and smooth deal, good communication and excellent packaging. I'd be happy to deal with him again. Thanks, Carl - nice one.

Um, this might be a silly question, but what's the pole spacing, please?
Miss your old T-40?

Retrovibe are offering a near-copy.
And they will do five-strings to order.
And it weighs a little over 9lb. Which I suppose might put the purists off
Unfortunately for me, it's sunburst only.
