  1. Since I already got a new Mac that I needed a couple of weeks ago and got used to being broke AF I’d be happy to trade for Squier CV precision. Either 50s or 60s.

  2. Bump, not sure if it's worth pointing out, but unlike some Kala (and other u-bass brands) models I have seen, this one has a proper 9v battery for the preamp straight from the factory. (as opposed to the watch style batteries that people complain about having to change them often)

  3. Much more pictures now added. As I was photographing the bass I have noticed a small mark on the headstock which you can see on one of the pictures, and decided to lower the price to a £300.

Also, because I need the funds for another laptop/pc I'd be more than happy to accept anything with at least a quad core processor and 8gb of ram (the rest doesn't matter) as a trade. I know it's not a carboot sale, but just throwing it out here if you just upgraded and have your old machine laying around unused.

  4. Happy new year everyone :)

Sadly I need to part ways with this little beast. I got it brand new in August on Amazon and it's in mint condition. Love the striped ebony and just how funky this bass sounds. The video link is to a short clip on my instagram where I have it plugged directly to my audio interface, absolutely no fx added.

Sorry for the single picture, will add more later. Bass comes with Kala gig bag. All the specs here:

Really sad to see it go, but covid hit hard and I decided to start streaming live music on Twitch, but my old laptop can't really handle it so I need the funds to upgrade to a better machine.

Collection from North West London, Brent Cross, just outside M1 junction 1, or I can deliver personally for the petrol cost within hour and a half drive from my place. I really would rather not post it, but I still have the box that the bass came with, so I could potentially pack it up and handle it to your arranged courier.

Any questions please let me know

  5. Hey guys,

No longer for trade, I have just spoken with my friend who still has a bass that he bought from me years ago and I have a chance to be reunited with it. I'm in no rush to sell as he can wait as long as I need to gather the funds.

    Asking price is £750

Now, this is my Spector Rebop 4MM, in nearly perfect condition except one small ding at the back of the neck (pictured). No wear on the frets, neck is straight with very nice low action. Maple neck with maple board, alder body with quilted maple top stained in deep blue, EMG pickup and TonePump preamp. Quite a rare Spector, I think discontinued now and can't find another one second hand.

It's a top quality bass, I love it, but currently I started having cravings for extended range instruments and, well, since all my income sources disappeared when the corona came, I don't have any money to buy one.

I still have the boxes that the bass came in so I could potentially pack it up for you and you are more than welcome to organise a courier to pick it up if you're too far. Otherwise I'm willing to drive to deliver it within 2hrs drive from London or meet halfway, of course bearing in mind the gov advice of social distancing. I have been self-isolating pretty much since it started and the bass hasn't left home for many months now.

Any questions just message me, also noticed my feedback link is no longer in my signature, but here is the link, I'm no stranger here :)

    Thanks

    Pat

Please mind that anything that might be looking like a marks etc on the pics is probably dust

Don’t they do their own? Whatever, all the owners seem delighted with theirs.

Have to say I wish I got on with Jazzes as I’d have had this in a heartbeat.

This is something I have heard too, but since it doesn't say in the original specs and I am also not the original 1st owner so I'd rather say that I don't know.

    Lovely instrument.

What are the pickups in it ?

Yes, it has pickups in it. :)

and to be more serious, I don’t have a clue. All I know is that it sounds great, maybe there are some more knowledgeable people that could shed some light what Limelight is using? This is the original archived advert for this bass from the maker and there is no mention about that https://classicandcoolguitars.co.uk/sold_basses/limelight105jbass.htm

  8. Hey guys,

I am selling this beauty because I decided to get back on the road and need a funds towards a car. Hard decision, as I wanted a Limelight for a long time and got this one in a trade here on basschat a while back, but now I am playing more heavy music where my Spector bass is being used most often.

Not sure what I could say, I think most of the people here are familiar with the brand. It is a very nice Jazz, reliced in a very tasteful way, currently strung with Thomastik Jazz Flats which I love so much that every time I get a Jazz or Precision I put them on immediately. Nice and low action. Sounds fantastic live. Again, not really sure what else to say, it is just a great Jazz Bass, and does its thing really well.

I have priced it for a quick sale and unfortunately I am not interested in any trades. I will throw old but functional gig bag with it, and while I prefer if buyer pick up in person, I do have a spare box that my other bass came in lying around so I could potentially pack it up for postage if buyer arrange the courier.

I am located in North West London just outside M1 junction 1(Staples Corner), you are more than welcome to pop in and try the bass for as long as you need and play it through my Markbass combo.

    Any questions just message me.

As I wrote, I don't give a sh*t about money and hate it : my wife owns everything including the house and I'm paying for all. But if I pay for something, I want to have it (for my wife or sometimes myself) is it so hard to understand ?

So, you don't care about the money, you pay for everything but you don't own it, and at the same time if you pay for something you want to have it?

  10. I know it does have a P in there and it could be as easy as rolling the bridge pickup down, but for some reason this bass even on the P pickup alone doesn't sound as nice as some of the P basses I had before, and I had a few. It is still a nice tone, but has it's own character to it.

I am just a sucker for a good P bass with flats and few months ago I sold my Fender classic 50s P bass and I kinda miss that, but now I am considering just getting a new Squier Classic Vibe 60s P, but I am waiting for some sound tests to appear on youtube to see if they are as good as the old ones.

  11. Lawrence bought a Ditto looper from me recently. We had a great communication, he paid promptly and it was all round positive experience.

    Thanks

  12. Chris just bought from me effect pedal and this was our second transaction. Just like before, great communication and a prompt payment. Great experience once again.

    Thanks a lot. :)
