1. I'm a guitar player and so after 35 years of playing with a pick, I the play bass with one as well. I'd suggest that the Dunlop John Petrucci picks are very good on a bass. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dunlop-Petrucci-Signature-1-50mm-Plectrums/dp/B00FFZ5F14/ref=sr_1_5?crid=3IYKANNPVFTPU&dchild=1&keywords=dunlop+john+petrucci+picks&qid=1615650228&sprefix=dunlop+John+%2Caps%2C172&sr=8-5 Also, for me all the muting comes from the palm and the fretting hand on both instruments, so I have no issues with muting. You have to mute one guitar when playing at gig volumes and so you learn the technique pretty quickly and it translates to bass very well. Another tip I have found useful and a few of my bass player mates have now benefited from, is the 'upward pick slant' technique, which if you Google Troy Grady or do a YouTube search, you will find plenty of useful videos on. It just helps with consistency and stops your picking hand getting caught up one strings when you string skip or if you want to play fast. Anyway, hope that helps any player that find plectrums awkward.
2. Saw the review here https://www.gearnews.com/chowny-fuzzster-pedal-new-budget-bass-fuzz-uk/ Looks good
3. Have three players to audition now. So hopefully can close this ad asap.
4. Just essential that the player can use a pick properly as we need that sound for the songs. Have a few guys trying out this week, so hopefully get the position filled soon. Unfortunately the last couple that tried out could not handle a pick and so we couldn't use them. So just to be clear we really need a pick player to fill this position.
5. The style of music we play needs that pick attack. Need a bass player that can handle using a plectrum. It just has that fantastic sound you won't get from fingers.

7.
Hiya dude, is the rack tray just the normal "shelf" kind or an opening-drawer kind? If its an opening drawer kind then I'll have it! (Just a quick pic will show me what its like...)
Its a shelf and not a drawer.
8. I normally post over at Musicradar, but figured someone on here might find some use for this stuff also. I have done plenty of deals with the guys over there and understand that some of them hangout here as well. My Ebay name is a2d Two SKB rack cases for sale. One is a 10U (slightly bent as is common with SKB cases of this style, but best to mention. I have six of these things and they are all slightly bent), opens both sides as is standard. The other is 12U,which is front opening and with a removable back panel. Both are in good condition and are real SKB and not cheaper copies. Looking for £80 and £100 respectively for the two. Also 2U Rack Tray black £20 And a Quiklok 3 tier, double braced keyboard stand with fully adjustable tiers. Cost me £180 new, studio use only, so is in great condition and has all springs, cable tidies etc still attached. Looking for £100, Ideally collection as it is big and heavy Would prefer collection, but can courier each one for about £12 via parcel2go etc. Bank Transfer, Cash or Paypal gift.
