1. Bass Collection SB310 Active EQ bass guitar – Made in Japan It’s now time to part with my lovely Bass Collection SB310. Make no mistake, this is a serious bass. Original Japanese-made series. Top quality hardware and electrics. New it cost over £500 and is still in immaculate condition – no dents , chips, dings or dongs! Stunning to look at, anyone will be proud to own it. I always look after my basses and this one has stayed home and been used for practice. I’ve owned it for about 15 years. As for playability, one touch of it and you’ll fall in love. Body is alder and finished in Tobacco Sunburst. The neck is thin and fast and is in the same Sunburst finish as the body, adding to it’s cool looks. High output pickups consist of split coil and single coil SGC ‘s and give out a really loud, earthy “thump and funk” growling bottom end. Produces an astonishing range of tones.Onboard Active EQ settings. I'm selling at realistic price - looking for offers around £295. Any questions call me on 07949 018632 Whoever buys this will be amazed and delighted to own it. Collection from Watford area. Alternatively happy to send by courier anywhere UK mainland £17.00 fully insured
2. Vintage 1991 Aria Integra IB-STD bass guitar SOLD!!! One of the best examples of a this bass you’ll find. Not just collectable but a top notch bass to perform and to play. 1991 Aria Pro II Integra from Aria's higher end range - certainly the best colour to go for, Pearl White. It's in exceptional condition with hardly a mark on it, just a small dink underneath by the jack socket. I bought it about fifteen years ago in Germany and I’ve always looked after it. The paintwork is immaculate and has developed into that classy Antique White as opposed to a blinding brilliant white. The solid body is contoured and very comfortable to play, ie not too heavy. Pickups are the powerful Aria CJ-3 single coils and they really do deliver big output. Flick-switch pickup selector. Tones range from deep funk bass to edgy trebles. The maple neck is same colour as the body and your hands just glide up and down it, as smooth as silk. It’s what you expect from an Aria, ie. slim and fast. I also fitted locking strap nuts so no slippage! A pro quality bass for entry level money. Being collectable you’d never lose money even if you sold it in years to come. Comes with the original purchase invoice. Any questions at all, phone me on 07949 018632, email [email protected] or message me thru Basschat - please don't text me!! I am away from 23rd February for a couple of weeks so get in before then or wait till after! Collection OK from Watford / Bushey area or from Wembley (daytime only). Also happy to post anywhere UK for £17 fully insured.
3.
Looking at the pics I can find, it looks to me as though the amp chassis pulls out like a drawer from the rear of the amp once the little screws are removed from the top of the combo. Have you tried sliding the amp out in the other direction (i.e. does it slide out the front instead of the rear?). It's a long shot, but maybe the bolts from the strap are catching on the chassis.
NOW SORTED!! Thanks Icastle - it was actually the corner protector-cap screws that were stopping it sliding out!!!
4. I've got a 20 year old Carsbro Viper which, up till today, has never given any problem. Today, as I turned power on, it was dead. No mains light on. I checked mains plug and fuse and they are all OK. So I went to check any internal fuses and, bugger me, I cannot see where to access any internal fuses !! I even tried to undo screws on top and slide amp head out of cabinet but it won't slide out (moves about an inch). So, anybody able to put me outta my misery and tell me how to check any internals. Thanks
5. Yes, a Stagg BA606, and it knocks spots of so many other basses at double the price. Stunning looking, near top of range active bass ....list price around £400 - new a year ago but has mostly hung on wall since so is in "as new" condition.... so, as I've got 4 basses and only one pair of hands, a couple have to go.......! Natural Spalted maple body with 6 bolt maple neck, inlaid with walnut. The body shape makes for really comfortable play and balance. Set up with nice low action, great for slapping. Two powerful active soapbar humbuckers really kick out and deliver everything from funk bass to growling rock. I hope the photos do it justice – in the flesh it’s even more stunning. A top level bass that will be admired by all! Price: Asking £220 for it. Quick sale. Can be collected from Bushey area, N W London no problem or possible daytime collection in Wembley. Alternatively, I’m happy to post to UK Mainland for £18.00 insured delivery. Any questions just call Barry on 07949 018632 or email barrym999 @ yahoo.co.uk

7. Thinning out my collection.....Cost £320.00 new a year ago and I was planning on keeping it forever.... however, I've got 4 basses and only one pair of hands, so.......! Natural Spalted maple body with 6 bolt maple neck, inlaid with walnut. Set up with nice low action. Two powerful active soapbar humbuckers really kick out and deliver everything from funk bass to growling rock – you're only limited by your own talents I hope the photos do it justice – in the flesh it’s even more stunning. A top level bass that will be admired by all! Price: I'll take £220 for it. Quick sale. Collection from Bushey / Watford area no problem or possible daytime collection in Wembley. 8. It's a Pro II IGB series from probably early 90's
9. I have a couple of basses that need repairing and want to know if anyone can recommend a reasonably priced repairer in NW london. I live in Watford area. Problems are: Bass 1 - An Aria Pro II that needs two pots changing and PCB checking out?? Bass 2 - An active bass that, I am told, has a faulty pre-amp. I either need a replacement pre-amp fitted or, alternatively, just convert bass to a Passive. If anyone can recommend me someone or would like to do the job themselves, please email me direct : barrym999 @ yahoo.co.uk
10. Peavey C4 (Zephyr) Bass NOW SOLD ELSEWHERE!!! If you love "woodie" basses then this is a stunner.... this particular Peavey is a bit of a rarity – was only available in Europe, not USA, so collectable as well as being one of the best basses I’ve owned in twenty years. I was planning on keeping it forever except my friend is now offering me his coveted 1972 Fender Jazz, so I can't afford both! The C4-NT is the passive version of the Cirrus range. (I hope the photos do it justice - email me if you want higher definition photos). Body is an exotic grained bubinga with maple inset stripes both front and back and up the neck. The neck is a bolt on 5 piece mahogany with maple stringers and a rosewood fretboard. Considering the bass dates from mid-late nineties it's in really good condition with only the feintest of marks on it. The electrics consist of two high output Peavey VFL soapbar pickups each with tone and volume controls. They deliver an awesome sound which throws out everything from funky bass to growling rock. When I plug in this Peavey after playing any other bass I have to turn the volume down! It’s really a pro standard bass and will appeal to someone who wants their bass to sound amazing and have tasty looks to go with it. I am looking for £230.00 for this bass and it's worth every penny. Call me to discuss any questions you have. 07949 018632. or email [email protected] Collection from N W London no problem or delivered by carrier anywhere UK mainland for £18.00 fully insured
