the carbon that they are using for decoration i HOONINGLY expensive - thats why
they make it pretty, you pay the cost (btw if its the same stuff that we get at work, its about £500 per metre) -
alternately, spend the cash on a mag 210 extension cab - do the VAST majority of gigs with that set up!
-
oh no! why?????

just thought i'd share my experiences with the shuttle 6 after a few months of owning it!
i have tried the unit with a few different cabs and usually use it with a pre amp and use the shuttle as a power amp.
i heard that it has a low end cut built in, and i believe this to be true because when pushing it a bit (volume half way up) with my RPM as the pre it clips the limiter quite a bit!
using just the shuttle the loss of low end is not noticable on 10" speaker systems because on the whole 10s dont go particularly low! it is however noticable with a p bass and 15's
just an observation - aparently the shuttle 9 and 12 do not have this low cut, something to consider depending on the cab set up you have. on the whole though and for most people/ general use, the shuttle is an awesome little lightweight head! -
wouldnt mind £250, had a look and that seems to be the going BIN price, whether they go for that or not i dont know!

just stuck this up........ pretty mint, happy bidding! -
how big is the pedal train dude? my live rig is a bit too big now! would it fit a wah plus 3 boss size pedals? also can you fit a power supply under it like the bigger ones?
-
and where did they learn spelling and grammar??!??!??

having a seriously hard time looking for the nut width on the schecter! anyone know??
thanks for the replies so far! -
i went to nottingham today in search of a cheap 5 stringer
one shop has the schecter omen extreme - sounds crap but plays and with the strap on its SO comfortable!
next shop - epiphone thunderbird pro 5 - sounds like a million pounds, bit harder to play, slightly wobbly B string, and forget about standing up with it!
is there a bass out there that sounds like the t bird pro but plays like the schecter? choice aint an abundance round here!
remember - preferably sub £500
GO!
lol -
try and find a video of rob trujillo from metallicas studio tone - ampeg for bass, mesa for treble -
basically fat strings, emg pups and distorted highs! everyones a winner! lol
highly recommend sansamp stuff too, plus my ampeg 115 is awesome - avoid most big name stuff, it just sounds bland (ashdown, trace etc)
just thought about it, i've backed up everything thats been said already and ust added another name, sorry! -
You want a dedicated bass one really, otherwise the frequency of the sweep's too far out of the range of your fundamental notes. A guitar wah on distorted bass can sound pretty cool, but for general bass use you want a 'proper' one.
agreed! however if you do decide you want a guitar wah, you can do worse than the morley wah/volume/distortion, in fact i have one for sale if you wanna PM me! lol
just took receipt of the crybaby bass wah and FWIW its spot on - the morley does a mean cliff burton alike though
just to add, on a jazz the difference is less noticeable, precision is VERY noticeable -
right i'll get on with the making of the first sheet, i'll pm those interested when its knocked up. i have a squire affinity jazz pickguard for shape, will that be the same shape on other jazzes? or would i need to get a template off each?
I've yet to come across anything similar feel-wise to the Punisher. Though looks-wise the Schecter Devil bass is pretty similar but has humbucking pickups....
http://www.drumza.com/images/SchecterDV4DevilBass.jpg
Btw, if you ever want/need to sell your Punisher on... let me know!
sorry bud, not a chance - fits me perfectly, definately the easiest bass i've ever had to play live plus the emg p is ace!
taken the tone control out of mine and moved the jack socket in its place, also upgraded the wiring. went to see kiss on tour and noticed the j pup is pretty much screwed right down out the way!
just curious if the spector necks are similar? or what it might be modelled on.
amazing collection btw......... the mrs doesn't agree i need to try and rival it!

hi there, i'm a carbon fibre and composites laminator, and so know the best stuff when i see it!
my question to you lot is..........
would any of you want a carbon firbe pickguard/ cavity cover/ or what? anything is possible, just the flat bits cut the costs DRAMATICALLY
let me know your opinion and also if you want anything knocking up! (bear in mind that REAL carbon doesn't just come in black)
just delving into it atm but i'd assume prices would be around £40 for a jazz size and £50 for p style!
genuine carbon fibre remember lol
cheers all! -
gonna have a root through my gear for moving on! this is a cracking idea!
-
best of luck bud......... this is a terrific sounding cab! my personal favourite - good bit of articulation around 2k
get those offers in! -
done!
-
i'm so pleased i've found you!
IS there another bass like the punisher - or even similar?
i'm in love with mine for all occasions, but obviously it doesnt look the part in all occasions!
cheers bud -
the reviews are correct! it is amazing i just don't get on with the neck in a live situation!
Hope you dont mind me mentioning that if this is the SVT Classic all valve head for sale, the 'svt3' in the title will be putting off buyers ( who may be thinking its the cheaper SVT3 Pro head.)
Cheers.
