  6. ***********PRICE DROP £85************ I'm selling a pair of Nordstrand NJ5F, (Fender spacing) pickups. These are the NJ5F with the 1960's pickup coil windings. Brand new these are £180 incl postage. I bought them to retro fit to a Squier Jazz V bass in 2014, they sounded incredible and brought the bass to life, but I've since decided to refit use that bass as a spare so have refit the stock pickups and use it as a spare, so these Nordstrands are now up for grabs. Here is the technical data and manufacturers specs: The NJ5F will leave you breathless with the splintering snap and grind of its hardwired midrange that can only be tamed by the norepinephrine of its euphoric high end. This is a vintage style single coil pickup wound with Heavy Formvar wire, a choice of alnico III or V magnets, and wound with a programmable CNC winder that simulates a vintage hand wound pattern. The combination of the HF wire in correspondence with the simulated hand wind produces the pickup's lowered resonant peak, which is the source of the hypnotizing ambrosia that is the NJ5F's divine high end. Between its high and low end frequencies, this pickup produces a full-bodied sound that replicates the drive synonymous with 60s vintage tone. Technical Details: Single coil 5 string jazz-type bass pickup. Fender spacing A choice of alnico III or V magnets. Available with an alternative 70s wind, featuring enamel wire and a lower wind count than the traditional 60s wind. In choosing this particular specification, the player can expect a more aggressive, enhanced top end with a tight bottom. Drop-in J replacement pickup. Available in black plastic covers. Laser cut, fiber bobbins. Wax-potted to contain any unruly frequency that may attempt to desecrate your desired tone.

  8. ***********3rd PRICE DROP to £65*********** Very good condition, does have a few minor scuffs but otherwise great nick and was bought for mainly home use. I never really gigged it as my pedal board was too small and not many of my gigs required a loop solo over a volume pedal! I don't have the box or manual unfortunately (still looking) but the manual can be downloaded from the BOSS website easily enough.
  9. ********PRICE DROP to £350*********** I'm selling an EBS 210 Neoline speaker cabinet. It's in great condition, see specs below. I'm also currently selling a matching EBS TD-660 head with RM-4 footswitch (see listing on the same page as this), so you might be interested in both if you want a full EBS rig for a great price, I'd consider an offer on the full set. J EBS NeoLine 210 Configuration 2x 10" + 2" Frequency Response 50 - 18k Hz Sensitivity 102 dB Power Rating 500 W RMS Impedance 4 ohms Volume 63 liters Height 39 cm / 15" Width 58 cm / 23" Depth 44 cm / 17" Weight 19 kg / 42 lbs
  10. ***** Price Drop to £475 plus postage***** I'm selling my EBS TD-660 Amp Head, excellent condition. Included in this price is the EBS RM-4 Footswitch and a Gator 2 Unit Rack case, in which the Amp has always been safely stored. It's a great amp, lots of headroom and the footswitch is a great addition and unlocks all the EQ and filter sections. I am also selling an EBS Neoline 210 which I'll advertise separately, but that 210 Cabinet works perfectly with this head so you can get in touch if you want to get both. J The EBS site states: "With 660W RMS pure output power, the EBS TD660 bass guitar amp head will always rock the house. It is a Tube/Solid State hybrid bass amp. The tube in the Drive section warms up the sound and adds a nice natural compression and character of a tube amp. The tube can be easily bypassed with the Tube Mode-button, which means if the tube breaks suddenly, you can use the amp safely by just disconnecting it. That gives you the option to run the head completely Solid State whenever you want too. The TD heads are very well-suited for major tours and are the most common EBS amps with backline rental companies."
  11. ******£900 plus postage******** I’m selling my stunning Overwater J-Series 4 str fretless. SPECS: 34" scale 4.4 kg Controls: Volume, Pickup blend, and 3 way Overwater Tone control (bass thick outer ring, mids top ring, then pull out top ring for top end) It’s an incredible bass, I had custom built for me by Overwater in 2005, with translucent blue quilted maple finish and ebony fretboard. It sounds amazing: i've rarely played any fretless that sings like this one, without the harsh zingy sound of some cheaper brands. I used the bass on the West End show Stephen Ward cast recording in 2013, as well on the show itself (for 5 months), but otherwise it stayed in the studio. It does have a few dings from the 5 months I mentioned in the tiny Orchestra pit at the Aldwych (quick bass changeovers) but luckily they’re mainly on the back and sides. (I've highlighted them in the photos.) If you're a collector looking for a perfect instrument to hang as a decoration, the dings on the back might put you off but if you're a player looking for an exceptional, singing fretless with incredible tone/playability and a stunning finish, this will blow your mind! Brand new to build they're about £2750-2800, i’m asking £950 plus postage. I've included a recording of the bass, a cover of a Nick Drake tune called 'From the morning' Jaco/Joni style, a good example of the DI tone. I'm also throwing in a soft case from Overwater (missing a small buckle on the top pocket) J nick drake fretless demo 2.mp3
  12. I'm selling my Yamaha SLB200 (excellent condition) Electric Upright Bass (with bow), including original semi-soft padded case, manual and cloth. I bought this bass in early 2014, after trying a range of electric uprights before choosing this 3/4 size Yamaha, which was the easy winner for quality of tone and realism, especially for bowing. None of the other electric uprights came close in my own mini shoot-out although this was the priciest. It is also great for packing down and being portable. I'm also including a budget bow and resin which I purchased at the same time as the bass. As a professional player in London, I had bought it to use on a few songs on the cast recording of a West End show (Stephen Ward) and also on the very short run of the show (which closed after a few weeks). It was never gigged outside of a theatre pit or recording studio and since then it hasn't been played and has been sitting safe and sound in my attic. Here are the official specs and ad from Yamaha: The Yamaha SLB200 Electric Double Bass compact design makes this instrument brilliant for gigging musicians who can't carry around an acoustic double bass all the time. Featuring a high quality piezo pickup, this instrument is easy to connect to any PA or amp as well as producing a realistic and warm double bass sound. Side supports also give superb comfort as well as plenty of versatility that you would expect from an electric bass. The instrument comes with a soft case, 9V battery, mute and wrench and is setup with D'addario Helicore Pizzicato strings. The current RRP is £2449 on gear4music etc... so you'll grab a bargain here.
