Hi Old Horse Murphy,
The weight, but width etc are in the second video I did if this to help support the sale. They are both on YouTube at my account Pete S
Thanks. I must be going crazy and/or deaf as I couldn't find anything that mentioned the weight at all on the vids. I watched them twice too but (according to my wife) I'm not the most observant of people. -
I tried watching the videos (albeit quickly) and couldn't discover the weight. What does it weigh please?

Whatever it is, it's got to be better than Cliff....

It would certainly save dinging the bottom of my bass on the cymbals every time I moved. I like it!

Hi, bass looks ace. Im up in Lancashire but what do you recon the cost to postage would be around?
Cheers Nez
Postage would be £25. Anything more than that I’d cover. -

I keep staring at it 😆
I love mine. None of my other basses have had a look in over the last two months for recording and gigging. It's really that good.- 2

I don't enjoy playing with electronic drums and had a bad experience where my monitor wasn't working and on a very large stage I had very little to go on other than watching the drummer's kick pedal and various arms flailing. It was like watching someone trying to shoo away a wasp from a table in a beer garden.
They always sound not particularly good to me either and weirdly can be very bassy and trebly at the same time.

I love this so much. Alas no funds nor suitable trade options!
Thanks mate. Unfortunately with December and the first two months of 2024 being pretty-much gig free I need to try and rationalise somewhat. -

I presume that PMT bristol moved for costs, they used to be near the town centre, but now they are by the train station. Don't know what the new place is like, its not an area I go so I can't really pop in anymore like I used to when it was down town.
They actually moved because the building they were in was condemned due to concrete degradation. The new store is fine (parking round the back if needed) but it doesn't have all the nooks and crannies of the old store which I really liked.
Joe (the bass specialist) left a short while ago but it's still a nice enough store to have a browse.

Mine was a Lakland Duck Dunn straight in to the studio desk. It did everything from gnarly to treacle. Shame it was so heavy.
The best live recorded sound I've had was a tatty 90's Fender US Jazz bass with Wizard 84's. Out of all the stuff I've heard where we've recorded gigs this is still the benchmark.

I was hoping to pick up an electro-acoustic guitar from PMT Bristol next weekend as the online prices are competitively priced. If the store price is 30% higher I might as well by one locally and save myself the cost of a 60 mile round trip.
They won't be, but you'll just need them to price it up for you and they'll compare it with other online prices to give you the most competitive offer.- 1

I spoke to the guys in PMT Bristol about this and their tactic seems to be about the "Big Reveal", in that you get the price checked there and then and they'll generally match the best price they find it being sold for online.
It may work for some but I'd rather the price on the instrument reflected the price online but I get why they do it. I wonder though, how many potential customers see the price tag and walk away before speaking to anyone.

Good God. If I had heard it without the visuals I’d have assumed a One Man Band had fallen down a long staircase and was now in critical condition.

Oh bloody hell this is beautiful. Was hoping your list of trades would align with what I’m thinking of moving on but alas…!
Sorry, always happy to listen to trade options -

Dang! I've a 34" Cali VS4 in aged sunburst and it is a superb instrument but I have to make adjustments when I swap back between that and my Lionel fretless. This bass would make so much more sense but I'd need to try first I think and I'm miles from you near Newcastle!
Sorry, I don't think I'm near Newcastle this side of Christmas.- 1

Nice one Hutton. One of my favourite colour schemes 👍

This is a reluctant sale and one I'm really not sure about, but having moved away from short scale basses I thought I'd test the market.
For sale is a Sandberg California II VM4 P Bass in hardcore aged shell pink. It comes with factory fitted dot inlays and an upgraded black label pickup (both optional extras). The body is alder and it has a gorgeous dark rosewood fingerboard that is a pleasure to play. The Sandberg gigbag, Allen keys and paperwork is also included. It's a 30" scale.
I'm not a huge fan of the Sandberg P bass pickups as I find them very mid-light, so I swapped it out for an EMG Geezer Butler passive pickup and it sounds ace. The original wiring loom and pickup is also included and apart from having to cut a few wires to replace the pickup, no other modifications were required.
This has been a dream to play and it has been gigged regularly but always well looked after.
It weighs in at 7lbs 4oz.
I paid £2,199 for this and while I was having back issues it really got me through some tough times.
I'm looking for £1,600 picked up from near Monmouth or within an hour or so's drive but I'm also happy to post fully insured.
I'm not looking for any trades thanks.

I watched the video and couldn't see any mention of weight. I'm clearly losing the plot and not a fan of treasure hunts 😂
