1.
That's mine now! I done bought it from the bay - henceforth to be known as the stealth bass....
Damn fine purchase Sir! - Wouldn't mind getting my mitts on the Pbass version!

  2. Afternoon all,

Am thinking about selling my Fender Squire Tele Custom Deluxe - its the black/black/maple one with Duncan P90's on ( thinks its a 72 - Keith Richards Tele!) simply as its not being used and a rather fetching Fender VMJ has caught my eye!

Would be looking at the £175 mark if anyones interested. Very good nick, barely used ....

drop me a PM is your interested.

    Cheers

    Matt

EDIT** - Two quick pics taken with iphone - not the best but if you need any more detailes shots just let me know.

  3.
Mick along with Steve Jansen and Richard Barberi made very little from Japan; David Sylvian did very well taking most of the money and plaudits (as per Micks Biog)

Lets be honest he has all but vanished from the music scene in the last 25 years.

This is so sad as I grew up listening and trying to copy his style, I wonder if his former band mates will have rally round?
Wal certainly sold a lot of fretless basses due to him.

I have mixed feelings over this, on the one hand you want to help - but thousands of other sufferers get no financial help bar the NHS (and we know how bad that can be) the last I heard Mick had upped sticks abroad a few years back so no doubt the NHS will frown at that too..

    So so sad...
Steve Jansen has put a message on his website stating that if anyone purchases one of his Prints he will donate the money to Mick. Nothing on Mr Sylvians site , although I guess thatsnot his style really and he'd be more likely to make direct contact with Mick rather than through the Internet?

Bloody sad state of affairs all round though.....sh*tty disease of the highest order.

  4. Hi,

Just got an email from the Mick Karn website....it would appear that he has been diagnosed with Cancer.....devastated....Mick was the reason I picked up Bass 20 odd years ago.....Life is truly a bitch...

  5. Posted on the wanted forum for a Boss TU2 - literally within the hour got a response and said tuner arrived 24 hours after payment and is immaculate condition - cannot recommend Tim enough - Quality bloke.

    I thank you

    Matt

  6.
There's no rules. Plug them up in different combinations until you find the one that pleases your ear most. For me that would be:

Guitar -> Digitech Bass Synth Wah, Boss ODB3, Amdek Chorus, trusty Boss TU12H -> Amp

And I'd buy a pedal tuner with a mute function. Korg Pitchblack / Boss Tu-2/3.

EDIT: If you're using the XBSW for anything other than the octave function, I'm going to come around to your house and beat you to death with it ;-)
Ha Ha Brilliant!!!!!

Thanks for all the advice guys - going to link 'em all up now and see where I end up!!!

    Regards

    Matt

  7. Evening One and All,

Not having been one for a great multitude of pedals in the past, I now find myself with a Boss ODB3, Digitech Bass Synth Wah, Amdek Chorus and my trusty Boss TU12H.....now this may be a totally stupid question.....but..is there any specific order they need to be in? I dont want to make a schoolboy error and mess up my lovely sound! Your advices would be much appreciated.....

I thank you.....i'm off to sell my soul to the devil!! :)

    Cheers
    Matt

    Hi Dave,

Many thanks for the interest, but I am reluctant to let this go at all , so in fairness it has to be the Black Black Maple combo!!

    again, many thanks

    Regards

    Matt

  9.
Originally mine, I got a friend to buy it from Bass Central and then he posted it over to me. It's a lovely bass and I'm genuinely shocked at how many times it seems to have changed hands. I'd actually take it back but I don't think you want my Sandberg PM4 in trade?
Hi Legion.

It is indeed a lovely bass....Im still not convinced I actually want to move it on!!!! - Tradewise I'm really only looking at the precision thanks.

    Regards

    Matt

  10. ooops - sorry guys, my bad on the price - Don't have any idea what it's worth though...guessing £800 ish??? really not sure - please feel free to PM if you think i'm way out on price and Ill reflect peoples opinions.

As I said this is ONLY a feeler - I do love the sounds this thing produces....hand on heart, I'm not a huge fan of the colour...but that shouldn't really detract me from what is a terrific guitar. ohhhhh - what to do!!!!???

Thanks for the comments guys, hopefully this rectifies the thread - if not just let me know.

    regards

    Matt

  11. Morning One & All,

  12.
Not into 15s myself, but that's an absolute bargain IMHO, GRAB IT QUICK, SOMEBODY!
What's the power handling? At 4Ohms it'll most likely be a standalone cab for most people.
Cheers Hubrad!

Think its 300W. Bloody loud!! I was using it with my TE SMX Head - sounded peachy! Not doing the rock thing anymore so gone back to my 4 x 12!

    Regards
    Matt

  13. One & All,

I bought this off Burray a few months back - but to be fair I'm not using it. Having moved bands as well I dont need the 1 x 15, so Im sticking with my 4 x 12

    Its a Peavey 115BX BW @4 ohms - I've borrowed Burrays original photo - hope that's ok!?

Loaded with a black widow sounds as good as it should, plenty of beefy goodness!

I paid £50 for it, If you can collect from Leicester then its yours for £40, otherwise I will deliver within a reasonable distance for petrol costs.

Thats it folks - let me know if your interested.

    Cheers

    Matt

  14.
Just a feeler for now to see if there's any interest in this, I have 3 Corvette's and one of them will have to go to make room for something new.

This is a 2007 Double Buck, comes with the new style bag and the tools / kit it came with. Overall condition is excellent, the body is ash, the neck is ovangkol/wenge, it's been gigged a few times and played a lot, so there is a bit of buckle rash at the bottom on the back, and a bit of cosmetic wear above the back pickup - i've tried to show all wear and tear on the pics. The ovangkol neck is in perfect condition and has been waxed regularly, electronics are also perfect, the tone is huge, beefy and very versatile. Brand new I haven't seen any of these for under £1000, I'm looking for £625 plus shipping, or if you're in or near London I can deliver it to you at no extra cost.
