1.
It crossed my mind to reply to this at 1am and 4am when I was warming baby bottles and at 6am when I got up for work. :)
At least I am now at work so I can have a sleep in the toilets most of the morning.

The bass is CIJ and I bought it from TOM1946 back in March.

I am know wavering and think that I may keep the bass, from what people have said it seems that it might be a worthwhile investment to keep it and get somebody suitable to fix the bodywork issues.
I am seriously amazed that this is still around. Stunning basses and a superb price. I would never sell mine, I love it to bits. Seriously if it doesn't sell at this price keep it. It would be a travesty to let it go any lower.

2.
Only recieved this bass yesterday as i needed a back up for my Lakland BG for a run of gigs coming up, however i have now been offered a bass i have been after for some time so i need to turn this round quickly.

It is a classic vibe P bass in sonic blue and is around 12 months old, i have posted a link to the original thread for until i get chance to put up some pics myself. Hope Liam doesn't mind me using the link to his thread as i haven't even had time to play this bass but i think everything is covered in that.

As stated there are a couple of small dings to the bass which are highlighted in the original thread however other than that the abss is in excellent condition with a nice low action.

Looking for £180 including postage for a quick sale.

Steve,

You have a PM!

3. Hi There,

Only has this a short while, traded with Malbass for my Precision, however and raft of unexpected bills means a thinning of the herd is required! So last in , first out.

I've pasted the link below to Mals original post - Hope this is okay squire? - But basically a MIM 70s Jazz Re issue - mint condition, few scratches to pickguard but only visible in the right light! no fretwear. The stock pups were swapped out for a pair of Delano JMVC4FE/M2. Sounds very sweet and is a peach to play.

I havent gigged it so it is still in as good as condition as it was when i got it. Will supply with the same soft Fender gig bag. I effectivley paid £450 for it as part ex. I would take £425 for it collected from me in Leicester. Am happy to courier but would need to advise cost of this.

Any questions please send me a PM and I'll get back to you asap.

Many thanks
Matt

Sweet baby Jesus and the orphans......thats good...damn good!....Think i'll just go and turn my basses into coffee tables :-(

5. Boys & Girls,

After much deliberation I'm getting rid of my existing amp set up for something altogether smaller and more manageable. The cabs have all gone so this leaves the head

A Trace Elliot GP12SMX 250w head ( pretty sure its 250 anyway!! ) in great condition, all slider caps present, all knobs and switches work correctly.
I'm pretty sure you all know how good these are, the Valve blend lets you create a really warm fat sound.....superb bit of kit. However needs must.

Its based in Leicester and ideally i'd like collection however I would post subject to agreement on cost and insurance.

Price wise i'm looking at £250. If you believe I'm wildly out - I don't think I am - then please get in touch by PM.

Thanks for looking - Any questions let me know.

Matt

THIS IS NOW SOLD.

6.
so it has peavey wrote on it and is a tad heavey!!!..........these are WICKED cabs for rock n metal.
bump for a steal price :)
Cheers Dan,
Yeah - they are great for that , just doesn't suit my sound now though.
Cheers for the Bump tho!

7. Afternoon,

Looking at selling this as upgrading my cab. Its a Peavey 4 x 10 300watt cab, loaded with BW speakers, 8 ohms.....ermm thats about it....bloody loud!, good condition, little scuffing to the metal corner protectors. I have 4 castors that I can stick on it should you want!

Collection only really, from Leicester. Looking for £75....Right, just been offered the cab I realy want so need to get rid of this PDQ! £60 anyone?

I will get better pics up asap, just grabbed this one on the way out of rehearsal last night!

Cheers
Matt

8. Alreet All?

Got to say from the off that this is only a feeler at the moment. I'm thinking o selling my Trace Head. Its the GP12 SMX version, pre Gibson era., I think its 250W.?? Its got the carpety/felt type covering and is in excellent condition. All sliders, buttons and other controls work perfectly. Currently running it through a Peavey 4 x 10 BW cab and it sounds great.

I have the opportunity to get a good deal on another amp, albeit a combo that would be a whole lot easier for me in terms of transport....Long Story but involves a recent diagnosis of Epilespy.....not so good :-(

Anyway - I'm really not sure about this as I love the sound from the Amp. If I sell it I think I'd be looking around £300-275 mark.....would this generate any interest?

If you think I'm way off the mark on price please send me a PM with your thoughts as all opinions welcomed.

Many thanks one and all

Matt

Crappy Iphone pic attached!

9. Afternoon one and all!

reet then, My Geddy Lee has developed a slight issue, inasmuch as I seem to have somehow chipped a teeny tiny piece off the nut to the left side of where the A string sits ( as your looking at the bass). Result is that the A string keeps popping out of the nut!...Time, therefore to replace it!

I'd love some feedback as to what you would suggest? Do i stick with a simple plastic replacement or go down the Brass or Bone route? any advice greatly apprecaited.

Secondly....and I think I already know the answer to this!....Is it a DIY job or should I just hand it over to a luthier to do?

Again - any and all advice appreciated guys n gals!

Thanks a lot

Matt

10. Just to add my bit! - bought a VMj of Will today - great chap, bass was mint and I was very happy!
Thanks Will - Pleasure doing business with you.

Kind regards

Matt

11. Evening All,

A feedback comment with a difference....

My band recently asked me to advertise their old Affinity Squire Jazz on this here forum as they'd had no luck themselves....to bloody idle!!! :)

Got a message from Jake saying he had a friend whose young daughter was after just such a bass!..low an behold his friend and daughter came over from B'ham to sunny Leicester this very evening to pick it up.....one very happy 12 year old!...and another convert to the world of bass!

thanks Jake - your a star, very good of you to have put us in touch....and that's why I love BC so much, top people, common interest and a genuine desire to help each other out.

Take care
regards
Matt

12. Ha Ha - Not really made from marzipan....least I dont think it is!

Righto - selling this on behalf of my band....prior to me joining, the bass player didn't have a bass so they bough this affinity series Jazz Bass for him to use. No longer needed and taking up room in rehearsal studio ....so it's out!!

Got some chips and scrapes as the pics show. The chip on the back of the bass just below the body contour is coming out as a blue colour in the photos...not sure why...maybe just because they are crappy Iphone pics....but as you can see this has taken the top layer of paint off but not gone through to the wood. The other dent on the front of the bass has gone through to the wood, but isn't that big!

Still sounds and plays great - I know that a lot of the affinity series come in for some stick but I was pleasantly surprised by how good this one was. Certainly as a beginner / stand by / project bass - it would be perfect.

Rehearsal room is in sunny Leicester....sorry....Lestoh! :) - You are welcome to come and inspect/play it if you want. If needs be I can post it out on 24 hour courier via work, this would be approx £20 if mainland UK.

Looking at £75 without postage....

Thats it......Please give me a shout if you need any more info.

Thanks

Matt
