I'm not sure on the exact weight as I dont have any scales at home but I've found it comfortable having gone from playing a 4 string bass to this. I've had some interest from a basschatter and I was saying to him that I have been happy to play 2x45 minute sets without any problem at all. The serial number is 9FN2163 so I believe thats 1999. I'm not clear on how to read them but that's what I've found out from research. I hope this helps. Hey Folks! I have decided to sell my Yamaha TRB6II. I love this bass but I just don't have a use for a 6 string at the moment. I have had it for about 7 months and bought it off a basschatter who had taken great care of it. There is only one small dink at the bass of the body near the strap pin which hopefully you can see clearly in the photos. It's currently strung with Ernie Balls slinkys. It comes with a gig bag and gold schaller style straplocks.
