1. TI Jazz rounds are very compliant and are very light gauge - they're expensive but very well made and feel extremely comfortable (to me). They're nickel and wound onto a round core - this is a principle component in their compliance. I think the Gallery are doing a good deal on TI rounds (and flats) at the moment

  2. I love the look of this - the build quality appears to be excellent and a fantastic spec for the price. I couldn't find much on the builder but a few more basses are featured here (hope this helps): http://www.mercatinomusicale.com/ann/search.asp?ns=1&kw=massbass&x=0&y=0

  3. Don't know how many were built (I'd suspect fairly low numbers) and the one in the images is really lovely. I think I owned this for a couple of years - a beautful bass but it sat in my office and only came out of the case infrequently - at the time, I was moving increasingly to short scales. I can't remember where the bass went (I'd need to check) but I'm pretty sure that it stayed in the basschat community. Indeed, I think it was sold-on again via basschat after my sale. It's very light and very playable - I find the latter to be a characteristic of all GS basses (a mate of mine has a black GS P from the mid-late '70s and it's gorgeous!) Good luck in tracking the bass above (or your own) down - of course, the two could be the same.

  4. The feedback below came to my account (Lozbass) from goonerjoe - I'm reciprocating Lozz196' kindness (see above) and posting to his account - similarity in names is causing a bit of confusion!

(from goonerjoe) 'Met Lozz today and bought his classic series precision. Great bloke, friendly, easy to do business with. Had a good chat about all things bass. Hope to see you again mate.'
