6. Hi guys, I have regretted selling my Nirvana Black LX5 since selling it about 5 years ago. I thought posting here would be worth a try. It was purchased around 2003/4 from GAK and is quite dinstinctive with it's all black hardware. I sold it on eBay to when I fell out with 5 strings. Couple of pics are included. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Connor.
 7.
I know Connor, having got extremely rat-arsed with him at the last Moffat bass bash. I've sent him a link to this thread.
Hi guys no tricks here, can't believe everyone's jumping to the worst case scenario of a fraudulent auction. The answer is the simplest one! Ali had 2 Eden 410T cabs, I believe people do this to form a "Stack"? Could be wrong! Anyway he sold one, thought the price was a bit low so he thought he'd start the second one a bit higher! He initially was going to hold on to one but changed his mind! Hope this clears this up! Connor
 8. See here: http://shop.ebay.co.uk/golden_llama/m.html...sid=p4340.l2562
 9. Edit: Please be aware £400 is only the starting price for the auction, not the straight selling price, I think Ali is looking for a bit more. But you could grab a bargain as he needs to get this shifted. Thanks!! It's eBay links guys but thought there would be someone people on here interested in this. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/golden_llama/m.html...sid=p4340.l2562 He also has a Eden 410T (from when they used to be good) in great nick. It's the 4 ohm, 500 watt one. He is not a member of the forum hence why I am mediating, but I can vouch hes a top bloke and I have bought stuff from him myself! Feel free to get in touch with my self and I can give him a shout and put you in touch. There's also a Korg DTR1000 and DBX 266XL Compressor if you check the other items on the eBay link! Thanks guys! Connor
 10. Why am I thinking, "it's only an 8 hour round trip!" Connor
 11. Hey guys, had another thread on here that I was interested in the Ibby Pro 1x10 but I just noticed these! Hadn't heard or seen anything about them! Anyone tried one yet? 12. Yeah I'm really torn now! Don't whether to get something I could sell on or just have a stab at building my own!
 13. I used to run a Ha7000 through a Goliath II 4x10 and an Ashdown 4x10 and I'll tell you that thing was plenty loud!! Shouldn't be hard to get one used and you'll never run out of power!!

If you don't mind me asking, how much was the build roughly! Pretty much exactly what I'm looking for!!
 15.
Hi Connor I built the cab from 12mm ply - given that it was going to be small in size, weight wasn't going to be a problem and i could just butt and screw the panels together. I'm not a great woodworker but am reasonably able and have a good supply of power tools. I knocked it up in a morning and covered it in self adhesive carpet. The dimensions were a bit of quess work - I had the spec for the driver and used the volume given by the manufacturer for use as a bass driver in a ported cabinet. I used a tube port from Maplins, screwed a handle on it and Bob's your mother's brother! Now, given the somewhat unscientific way i went about this it may be pure luck that it sounds as good as it does but i also suspect that unless you need to go very loud most haphazard designs with a decent driver will sound fine for low level practice. In a small room the bass extension is fine and will rattle the crockery nicely. I built it primarily so I would have a tiny rig i could use my gigging amp head with when practicing at home. I'll post some pics if anyones interested. Martin
Would love some pics mate, I was kind of half thinking about trying to build the cabinet first and if it came together ok, would buy the driver. It's just when it come to porting, bracing and batting... I get extremely lost!!! Connor
 16.
I built my own small ported cab with an Eminence 8" driver in it and it works fine for home practice and acoustic instrument levels. Also looks cool with my MB SD1200 driving it - rather like putting a V12 engine on a scooter.
Haha great analogy. My uncle use to have a Cosworth powered Reliant Robin as a project so I know what you mean haha! How did you go about building the box? Are you pretty handy with wood working? I'm fairly useless you see! Connor
 17.
Ruddy hell that is a good deal!
Yeah I seen it, unfortunately I'll be waiting until the end of the month. And I think it was actually sold in about 3 minutes. I used to have a GS212 and that was incredible!!
 18.
As long as the OP knows what situations the majority (if not all) 1x10 cabs are suitable for then there's not a problem. He just wants it for acoustic jams and home practice which they are perfectly suited to. It's tempting to get carried away and start pushing it but that's gonna cost you a replacement driver sooner or later! Chances are even the 140w amp the OP is looking at using is going to drive the majority of these cabs to their limits if cranked, my Superfly at 8ohms can drive my EA cab to distortion.
Yeah mate you've got the idea. I have no plans of getting evicted so I'll be lucky if I drive it to half volume! Like I said, if I did start gigging again (highly unlikely), I'd by a second/bigger cab.
