Following April’s volcano wash out where we lost our line-up to acts stranded all around the globe, OIW comes back bigger and stronger on May 20th, and with less natural disasters! (hopefully). Here's the sterling line-up for our next bash in the gorgeous surroundings of the Old Queens Head;

BAXTER DURY

We are more than a bit excited to be welcoming BAXTER DURY to the Oh! Inverted World stage, his dad might have been the legendary Ian Dury, but Baxter has been carving out a niche of his own and proven to be a brilliant lyricist and songwriter in his own right. After signing to Rough Trade Records he put out two simply amazing records, “Len Parrot’s Memorial Lift” (featuring collaborations with Portishead's Geoff Barrow and Adrian Utley, and Richard Hawley) and 2005’s excellent “Floor Show”. If you haven't seen Baxter before then let us tell you that this will be something a little bit special.

KIT RICHARDSON

We will also have the wonderful KIT RICHARDSON on the bill, there always seems to be some reason or the other that this show hasn’t happened yet (volcanoes were just the last in the series), but FINALLY we are delighted to have Kit confirmed and along for the night. Her live shows are something to behold as you will find out on May 20th!

THE BORDER SURRENDER

And if that wasn’t enough (it never is for you people!), we’re also bringing you the amazing THE BORDER SURRENDER to join us for the evening too! These guys are so on their way up it’s getting scary, and their tuneful Americana tinged music has been gathering momentum since they first hit the road in January. They released their first EP in April to a packed crowd of nodding, knowing folk on Charlotte Street, and now they’re bringing their great live show to Oh! Inverted World.

It’s going to be damn good folks. We’ve also got the one and only MR DAVE DEPARES back on the decks to make everyone happy and drunk on music throughout the night. Get yourself down to this one and we’ll see you on May 20th! It's only a fiver with a flyer too (coming soon)…[/quote]
