Firstly I don't profess to be an expert in vintage instruments but everything I include in this post I believe to be true and honest, christ that sounds like some sort if disclaimer but I'm conscious of not being misleading in any way.

Ok here we go, up for sale is my 1973 Fender Jazz, I brought it a couple of years ago and I love it but my standard of playing and the type of gigs I do don't do it justice and I need the funds to finance a new amp.

When I brought the bass it was on the understanding that it was all original apart from the body which was refinished at some point. I have since then had no reason to disbelieve that the bass is not 100% original.

I'm not sure if the photos do it justice but as you can see the the neck is maple with black binding around the edges and black block inlays. The neck is super smooth and a real pleasure to play.

The serial number is 408612 which corresponds to 1973 according to the Fender site.

I appreciate there may be plenty of questions and I'll do my best to answer. When i brought the bass it did not come with the bridge or pup cover.

Now to the price I am open to offers but its got to be close to the £1400 and if I get that I'll include the hard case in the pics.

I prefer the bass to be picked up as I wouldn't feel happy sending this through the post although I'm also happy to travel and meet up for the cost of a llittle diesel. Like wise if anybody wants to come and have a look or try out just let me know. I also have the original owners manual.
