Hello!

My band The Bedford Incident are in the process of organising a tour of sorts across England and Wales. We have our soon to be finished and released album to promote and also our appearance on a New Order Tribute Album.

If anyone here on Basschat is interested in either putting us on or arranging a gig swap (we are based in Sheffield) then please get in touch!

Please take a look at out myspace

Brief band biog:

Hailing from Sheffield The Bedford Incident draw on a cosmos of diverse influences. Fusing together the energy of guitars, bass and drums, with science fictionesque synthesisers, sharp-witted lyrics and heartfelt orchestration; this five piece create uplifting, out of this world sounds, aptly once reviewed as "sounding like Jarvis Cocker fronting The Flaming Lips", and “writing the best songs coming out of Sheffield right now”. Over the past 18 months Jamie (vocals & guitar), Kirsty (guitar), Laura, (keyboard & vocals), Alex (bass) and Stephen (drums) have been busy honing their spirited and memorable live act throughout the North of England and further a field, including a performance for Alan McGee at his famous London club night Death Disco, culminating with a live session for BBC Radio. Jamie and his fellow cosmonauts have been forging “Joyland” The Bedford Incident’s new album to be released on Sci-Fi Records and setting course to play through the UK to promote it. As well as their own album they are also being featured on US label 24 Hour Service Station’s release “Ceremony: A New Order Tribute” featuring; The Cloud Room, Detachments and many more to be released February 2010.
