Finding a tutor.

This may be in the wrong place, if so please move me on.

I've been seriously (although not definitely) thinking about getting lessons, there's less fluff in the fluff tray of our tumble dryer than when I play.
It may sound a dumb question, but are there any do's and don'ts when looking for a tutor? Any questions one should ask? We are after all a little different to guitarists :) , and thus have different needs. Or anything else you need to consider?

Unfortunately there aren't many in my area, or there don't seem to be, so if anyone can recommend someone in the mid/north devon area that would also be helpful.

Thanks
Rich
