effects loop set up.

Hi guys.
Recently changed my effects set up and would like to run my pedal board at rehearsal now too.
I am using an Ampeg B500dr head with two BSE 410HLF cabs.
Effects board has:
EHX Bass Big Muff Distortion
EHX Small Stone Phaser
EHX Doctor Q Envelope Filter (nano)
EHX Mole Bass Booster (nano)
EHX LPB1 Linear Power Booster (nano)
9v pedal supply

Now, usually, when I run ths setup live through my Marshall VBA400´s effects loop-no problem whatsoever, but when I connect them to the Ampeg B500dr, there is a distinct loss of punch/clarity and even a touch of distortion.
I have tried messing with the effects blend knob on the front of the amp, but this only makes the distortion more noticeable.
What should I do to get around this?

Have you tried running them infront of your amp? Distortion and filter effects at least, nearly always sound better infront of the preamp.

If you still need a clean blend, put a Boss LS-2 infront of the amp and put your pedals in one of it's loops.

why dont you use a true bypass strip infront of your amp that will get rid of the signal loss like this one.

Unless pedals were designed to work at line level, it is not a good idea running them in the effect loop.

I would suggest you use your pedalboard between bass and amp. If your bass is passive, I would also recommend a clean buffer at the pedalboard input.
