Stingray Peizo Problem

Hello All,
Just took possession of A peizo Stingray and it seems there's some sort of issue with the peizo saddle of the E string. Theres no output from it at all. Has anyone else had to rectify this issue?
Could it be something simple or is this going to cost me?
I'd be grateful for any help you lot may be able to provide.

Check to see the E saddle is not sitting on the bass plate. I had a piezo which did this when the saddle block was touching the plate., it must earth out? but a small amount of lift in the height adjustment screws sorted it immediately.

Have tried it with the saddle at various heights and even took the saddle off for a quick looksie, but nothing looks out of place or broken.
Hope I don't I need a new saddle.

Update.
After trying various things and different sets of strings, I decided to switch to flats as I have on my Precision.
OMG! The Stingray sounds fantastic!
This is the sound I've been after for ages.
And surprise suprise, the piezo now works!!!
If you have a 'ray, try it.
