fragility Posted November 10, 2009 Share Posted November 10, 2009 So, I got a 2006 Warwick fretless thumb 5 a few months back and I thought I might treat it to some lovely new strings for christmas. Now, this is where things get complicated. As far as I can understand it Warwick 5-ers up to 2006 will only take a tapered B string as with Warwick's own strings....but Warwick don't make flatwounds. So I'm trying to work out what brand of string has made it on to my bass somewhere along the line. They've got red end thread - does anyone have any idea whether I can narrow down on that basis or if there's anything else I can do to work out what brand they are?
