billphreets Posted October 1, 2009 Share Posted October 1, 2009 hi fellas ive recently got a gig again so have been scraping together some bits of equipment.. ive just acquired a trace elliot 1153h 1x15" cab 8ohms 200 watts(but has been fitted with a celestion BL15-300X 8ohm speaker) and ive got a trace elliot ah300 amp head coming at the end of the week which i believe is 4ohm.. can i use this amp with my cab ??? can i add a 1048h 800 watt 8ohm cab to this rig?? any other suggestions??? ive always been a combo man and am a little baffled..... thanks in advance Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Mr.T Posted October 2, 2009 Share Posted October 2, 2009 Hi, You can run either: 1 x 8 ohm cab or 2 x 8 ohm cabs or 1 x 4 ohm cab I would personally go for the 2 x 8 ohm cab set-up, as you will get the full potential of the amp and have a speaker up near ear level.
