you know the quote button, the one next to the reply button under each post in a thread?
Well, what does it do, other than turn red when you click it?

(seriously, my computer knowledge is almost as basic as my bass knowledge)
Now you see, I pressed it under your post and quoted you ^^ in my reply. You should also be able to do multi quotes by pressing the quote button under various posts in a thread and then 'add reply' (and then you can edit away and delete the non-relevant bits, and check it in 'post preview' to make sure it looks how you would like it to before you press 'post reply'). Or something like that :)
