Inputs and outputs are on XLR and 6.35mm jack connectors, switchable –10/+4dBu. The DC24 features a built-in crossover for split band processing of a single channel. Separate controls are provided for compression ratio and threshold, expander/gate ratio and threshold, limiter threshold, output level, crossover frequency and mode and individual channel bypass switches. You just split up the signal on which frequency you like and handle "both" signals seperated with Gate, Limiter and Compressor. So you just may compress the low end and let the highs untreated, or give the highs a compression of e.g 6:1 but the bass only 2:1, however you like to, the rane dc24 gives you the freedom to do what you want. i have never heard such a natural und vital bass sound!
