Piggy FX Hot Harmonics - 4049 CMOS based, Red Llama clone? [SPARES REPAIR]
£25

Had this ages as a "to do" project, but pretty unlikely to get around to it...

It works (sort of ) and makes noise but needs some tweaking, possibly a pot change or a wire/component needs replacing to get it working consistently and good.

Exterior pots work, but feel well worn.

Looking at the components it appears CMOS 4049 Hex inverter based . so it probably is a Craig Anderson's Tube-Sound Fuzz circuit/ Red Llama circuit

Those two mentioned are two pot design, this seems to have an extra transistor (N channel FET 2N5458) and third pot so I’m guessing this is an extra gain stage? but haven't reversed Engineered the circuit.

Pots are marked Vol and Lo , third pot has no label.

If you are into DIY FX pedals and/or electronics, this would be an easy fix/repair or mod.

Probably a nice sounding pedal, I had a Red Llama clone for a while and it was a great fuzz for bass and guitar

I understand Piggy FX is genuine company still building effects, build quality on this seems decent.

Comes with the four base plate screws.
