A couple of weeks ago 2 of my rack samplers made some fatal sounding noises (an Akai S900 and a S2800). While I love the simplicity and sound of the old Akai gear, I think the time has come to embrace something a bit more up-to-date
I've spoken negatively of my experiences of modern Akai gear.. but this time I'm fully committing to the journey to bring my gear up to date & putting in the time to get really familiar with it
 

I've plumped for the Akai MPC Live 2 along with the Akai MPK Mini mk3 for a fully portable solution that will fit in a backpack. Not sure I'm ready to sell my vintage MPC's just yet.. but looking forward to this journey with the new one
